No reason to rr the flop as you're bloating the pot and his range narrows considerably to better holdings. Just call there and reevaluate turn.
As played you may have to call river (given turn action) but the line you took wasn't optimal imo. You do block QT and the flushes missed, but I'm still not thrilled about it. After he calls that 14BB raise on the flop you're probably behind. Turn check to me is fine and likely optimal.

I recomend playing a very simple strat here oop in 2bp when you get a cold call from MP-BU because most boards will be high frequency checks and it is very easy to mess up with a big spr , oop and in a spot that comes up rare.
Also watch out to not trust your feeling to much when you dont have so much experience. Work on building up a solid foundational gameplan for most common spots and dont freestyle to much and keep it very imple like i said when you are oop.
