How am I, a tortured Hawks fan, supposed to feel about this French guy?

Early returns seem… not great.

Sorry [strike]heels[/strike] TJ

EDEY

ya i like the edey pick a lot, worth the gamble in a lame draft, guy was basically shaq in college

probably went to 1 of the best teams he could go to in the grizzlies

obv likely to just be too slow and bust, but all these guys seem likely to bust so who cares

ESPN turning into Stephan A 24/7 is a disappointing development

got the angry youtube coach draft stream going and he seems to hate everyone and everything, it's amazing

only thing he's been positive about that i've seen so far is getting to make videos shitting on the jj lolkers next season. but also he's mad that every lolkers video does great numbers, he really hates them lol

oh wait, he also likes bball breakdown. says they're a good channel

Bahahhahaha

Who’s out of basketball first? Bronny or Branny?

Silver announcing trades 20 mins after everyone knows them.

i have a question or atleast thought worth pondering. All you hear about is "this draft sucks", "this draft is woat"

well why? how does a draft in 2024 suck so bad? the whole world plays basketball now and a 3+D guy just got paid 212M over 5 years like 4 hours ago. The economic incentives are insane now.

I get there is some variance involved with drafts, always going to get some better than others, but wtf? training specialization for this **** starts like out of the womb now for incredibly tall people

Sounds like the open for a Gladwell chapter

Minnesota trades an unprotected 1st (so hot right now) in 2031 for the 8th pick tonight (Rob Dillingham). In so doing they'll raise their tax bill from $56M to $84M.

What the actual **** is that...

I think there’s a legitimate chance Glen Taylor knows he’s going to lose in arbitration and is ****ing over the new owners while he still technically has control.

didnt Arod/Lore get Bloomberg on board with them? 84M is a rounding error to him

also trading for a drafted player who is going to make $ is a way to circumvent the 2nd apron...there is a decent chance more apron teams start doing stuff like that (just read this on twitter)

Sounds like the open for a Gladwell chapter

only thing i can think of is the threshold to play in the league has gone up over the years that the barrier to entry is now higher, thus drafts like this are still possible

but id just think like this is the era where you would have waves of elite prospects coming in and really looking at the drafts from this decade alone, they've been fairly unimpressive

Yeah, I guess this is a "We're locked by the 2nd apron" move, but still, goddamn

Bucks drafting Bronny incoming. Lebron secretly been planning to team up with Giannis and Dame all this time.

My bronny prediction is Klutch gets some team to draft him tomorrow, he goes to camp there, doesn't make team, maybe plays in the G for a bit and thats the end of it

but he won't go lakers and lebron will be able to wash his hands of the stupid idea of playing with his son because someone else drafted him

im sure plenty will do klutch a favor

It just felt like Sheppard was on a heater virtually all season. I don't think he'll be a top 3-point shooter. Hope it's wrong.

two BUFFS drafted in the 1st round 👍

hope u git er done at the next level fellas

Wemby walked (like a long limbed eldritch horror) so all these Frogs can run.

I had a horror flash that the nuggets would draft BRONNY just for kicks

whew, dodged that one

Silver shoulda trolled everyone on the Collier pick. With the 29th pick the Utah Jazz select, Guard from USC…

Celtics draft a white guy name Baylor who went to Creighton. Never has a more Boston player existed.

Man, what was in the French water 18-19 years ago? the #1 and #7 picks last year, then the #1 #2 #6 and #25 picks year

2028 Olympics are gonna be a bloodbath

perhaps better question is what isnt in the US water right now?

best american players to come into the league last 10 years are probably tatum and ant? 3rd is like....d book?

All these people are really good at basketball
