So I went through the lists and the only song that seems to fit is "In the Dark" by Dev. I've never heard it before, but it is indeed awful. I dunno about woat awfulness tho.

I did only go through 1 week of each month in 2011 and jan/feb of 2012, so it's still possible I missed it. That song does feel wrong too, so I probably did.

Wat? I am just curious. I think it said banned when he made the post. Wondering if that is something ironic that he requested as an undertitle or some kind of system error. I don't know what he would have been banned for or have any issue with him; I'm quite sure he wasn't banned for cheating at 20 questions.

"Ours" by TS is actually a valid answer, but I discounted it somewhat because it's just a complete nothing. Not a good song by any means, but I can't imagine anyone being repulsed by it either.

I'm just gonna yolo a couple because I don't know what else it could be and we have enough questions left anyway.

I think it is probably Taylor Swift - Mean. It charted in 2010 but the wiki for the song shows it being released as a single in 2011. I'd imagine this is the date EB would use for this game.

eb rates What the Hell as a top Avril Levigne song, so I doubt it’s that.

D1iab mentioned In the Dark earlier but abandoned it. Still, could fit. eb having us chase the 2011 charts for a song that charted in 2010 wouldn’t be cool.

Also, researching this is getting tons of terrible songs stuck in my head. eb knew what he was doing.

Should we try to narrow the timing of when it first hit the hot 100? Split the year in half?

Oh yeah D1 specifically asked about In the Dark. Somehow I thought he was asking about some Taylor Swift song. So that one is out.
