Junior had such graceful power because he wasn't a brawny guy

Ever wonder why every player known to have a smooth graceful swing is always left handed?

It's because of the camera angle. Not saying he wasn't smooth though. But no right handed hitter ever gets the same smooth looking swing from the specific camera angle that baseball is always shown at.

5-175 for Quickley?!?

It’s ok the cap is going up

That's why the Knicks traded him, they knew he would get a HUGE contract that they couldn't match.

Quickley, the runner up to the Sixth Man of the Year Award winner in 2023, averaged 18.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in a starting role spanning his 38 games with the Raptors.

Misinformation.

If Russell becomes a free agent, Windhorst has also floated the possibil....

Pujols and ARod beg to differ
as for Junior, it was the way he finished

Quickley is what, a top 75 player? (edit: ringer has him 92nd)

If you gotta start giving guys like that 200M after 4 years in the league, you can see why teams are starting to treat picks like they are so disposable

you gotta hit like 5-6 leg parlay for a pick to truly payoff in a big way nowadays

What kind of contract does a guy 6'2'' who averages 5 points in college, can't shoot or penetrate and dish or guard or even make free throws well get?

When i was a kid, milk cost a quarter

these NBA contracts nowadays are like winning the lottery but having to play basketball sometimes.

Or if you're Ben Simmons, never

DeJounte Murray to Pelicans for Larry Nance Jr, Dyson Daniels, and two 1st round picks

I really wish we would have kept Murray and traded Trae.

I’m done with him, he’s a negative player you can’t win with, and if you have him, you have to run your team through a midget chucker who can’t defend.

Clearly Dejounte and Trae can’t coexist…. I think they chose the wrong one.

Though maybe both get traded in a full teardown soon, I’d be okay with that too.

seems hard to deal trae unless it is to SA for the picks back

but hard to rebuild when you dont have your own picks

Hard to get value out of Trae with his big contract. Maybe the Lakers bite on him though.

why would hawks just give him to LAL though? they cant tank really with spurs having their picks

unless they wanna just do what the nets did 10 years ago and bite the bullet that they suck knowing that their picks could be very very good for someone else

but i feel like given recent results related to celts/nets deal that teams would like to avoid that

Hawks wouldn't just "give" Trae to the Lakers. it would be a "fair" deal for both sides.

For example:

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Trae Young and Kelly Olynyk
"Los Angeles Lakers Lose: D'Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jalen Hood-Schifino, a 2028 first-round pick swap, a 2029 first-round pick, a 2030 first-round pick swap, a 2031 first-round pick and a 2025 second-round pick (via Clippers)

Atlanta Hawks Receive: Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jalen McDaniels, a 2028 first-round pick swap with Los Angeles, a 2029 first-round pick from Los Angeles and a 2031 first-round pick from Los Angeles

Atlanta Hawks Lose: Trae Young and Garrison Matthews
Toronto Raptors Receive: D'Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Garrison Mathews, a 2030 first-round pick swap with Los Angeles and a 2025 second-round pick from Los Angeles (via Clippers)
Toronto Raptors Lose: Kelly Olynyk and Jalen McDaniels

Raps spending the money!

Kind of weird to give IQ 5/175M when they could've seen what he would get in RFA and then just match.

the Hawks would suck if they did this deal and not have their own picks for when they suck

Narrator: Hawks will suck with Trae too.

McLovin writes for BR

Also he included a guy in the trade that’s not on that team anymore . McDaniels got traded yesterday .

Hawks should have asked for Ingram straight up. Those picks are blah and now they’re looking like favs to send SA another lotto pick in a stacked draft. Gotta think NOP is moving on from Ingram is they’re making this deal.
