Best Friend last night. We were boring and got the spicy pork, carbonara, and aquachile. ~$92 without drinks and way too much food.

Chef's Truck. Just ok. ~$44 for the grilled cheese, pork medianoche, and pork tacos.

Those Best Friend dishes look vvg. You are your Mrs seem to order the same food options I would

thank you for the solid reviews

Peter Luger. Ok, the burger is good. Not my ideal bun, but still very good. It's not listed and I should have asked, but it's dry aged beef? The smell is likely not for everyone. It's also a lot of food. We barely touched the fries and tomatoes. The burger was $26, $5 for the fries, $2 for the cheese, the crab cake was ~$35 and the tomatoes $18.

Gwen talked me into the boot of Brooklyn Lager. Time for a nap.

I now need a gass of Brooklyn Lager in a boot. Are those chocolate coins that being with the bill?

Definitely dry aged beef. Like you said the bun isn’t my favorite, looking at the burger it doesn’t look fantastic, but that funk is great and it all just comes together imo.

Bun does not look appetising but I trust Randal’s reviews.

Went to yannis Greek down by South point and it was very good and a good price point. I got the mixed beef and chicken schwarma plate and they were about equally good. The red sauce they give you was great and the pita is actually nice and not terrible and dry.

Hitting up Best Friend for a 2nd time this week. Roy Choi is in the kitchen.

I'm a little surprised that it didn't get more attention, but Gwen got a pic with Roy. He seemed very nice.

my apologies for not best friending Gwen or Roy don't follow either on instagram

$18 for a sliced tomato?

Popped into 8 East at circa.

I think it's a pretty good option for Freemont. Good service, food came out fast and it's very reasonable.

It's mostly small plates so you can get the meal size you want. So it's a perfect spot when you have other things going on.

I had 2 lamb chops, green beens and chicken stir fried and butter mushrooms with a coke. That adds up to a decent sized meal.

It was not spectacular but definitely good and for $48, I thought it was a good deal for a touristy area.

It's a Luger's thing.

Sliced Tomato with Luger's Own sauce (for 1)
Sliced Tomatoes with Luger's Own sauce (for 2)
Sliced Tomato & Onion with Luger's Own sauce (for 1)
Sliced Tomatoes & Onions with Luger's Own sauce (for 2)

Definitely best way to use your Club One, Circa/D/Golden Gate food comps. Saginaw’s is disappointing, the diner option at The D is a disappointment.

gotta say this though.

the Saginaws blue cheese wedge salad is awesome .

the only thing I like there besides the potato pancakes

This is informative. I should give them another go especially if I’m using comps. The matzo ball soup while salty isn’t bad. The bagels and lox look decent as does the latkes. The pastrami and rye which should be the benchmark of a deli kind of stinks. The one at the small deli counter at the back of Binion’s is better.

I honestly only went to test Balbomb's claim about the burger and wasn't trying to advocate that it was cheap. FWIW, the prices are comparable to Brooklyn.

I did plan on doing a burger taste test day, but ran out of steam. I had the burger at eggslut, Peter Luger, and wanted to do No Pants, but ran out of steam after Amalfi and Absinthe. I like the No Pants burger and am disappointed that I missed it.

Some more Mother Wolf greatness:

Diavola pizza 8/10 (Margherita one better)
Rigatoni alla Gricia 11/10 this dish is incredible
Coconut and chocolate chip gelato 9.5/10

If someone wants to do a Middle Child TR, then I can add in a Philly Middle Child TR.

Really good thread. Thanks for the actionable info.

Fwiw, this thread always delivers and puts to utter shame other sources like Eater Las Vegas or Vegas.com or even ElD's recommendations
