Watching the WNBA is pretty crazy. I know the money probably isn't there for elite coaches, but like, wasn't Becky a coach in the league for a time?
How are these teams so poorly coached that half the players can't seem to run a DHO action or position themselves for a lay up?
Edit: A quick wiki search shows Becky has actually coached the LV team for the past 2 seasons, and they've won the title the past two seasons. Odd thing that.
Side note, hope Becky gets a shot at a nba team at one point. Next year when Charlotte or someone rebuilds again

A lot of it genuinely seems to be no desire to put the players in positions to succeed. As any HS player the first rule about getting a off. rebound inside, and they'll tell you "Don't bring the ball down". Yet you watch the IND/PHX game today and a bunch of ORebs got taken away by defenders because the players got them...then just looked confused about what to do.

Reese has definitely surprised everyone, she'd even slipped as far as 7th in the draft and everyone thought CC would be running away with the rookie of the year award without a doubt
however, CC is still leading in every cat but rebounds basically
she's also shooting very badly compared to college, obviously, a big part of this has to do with increased workload and higher quality defenders - but it's a fair assumption that she'll both adjust to those over time as well as regress to the mean as it's such a dropoff that we can probably assume she's running badly with variance
55.3% from 2, 85.8% ft and 37.7% from 3 in college compared to
49.4% from 2, 88.5% ft and 33.7% from 3 in wnba
she's going to improve her shooting without a doubt
they've also played 13 of 21 games on the road, including the last 5 in a row - angel has been amazing, but cc probably edge her out if the season ended today and likely prime rookie cc has yet to be unlocked

I haven't watched much cc this season. I have watched a lot of angel Reese. so I don't really have a full picture.
and I could easily concede that cc is having a better season, and is a better player. cc probably is better. she could end up being the greatest ever. she is amazing.
I have seen a lot of prejudice against angel Reese, regardless of whether or not angel should be rookie of the year.
angel is outspoken, trash talking, unapologetically genuine, black... and she gets a lot of unfair hate for all that.
her coaches and teammates love her. she wins everywhere she goes. she lifts up others.
seems like players all over the WNBA love her. I see vets from opposing teams regularly offering her encouragement and support on the court, advice even.
she gets a lot of hate that isn't about her basketball play. and it's unfair hate to boot.
