2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Missed out on Carr, but I'm comfortable with just 2 QBs here.
Panicked on the last pick and just grabbed Agholor but not expecting much.
QB - Stroud, Baker
RB - Breece, Jacobs, Conner, Wright, Dobbins, Keaton
WR - Olave, Diggs, Hollywood, Godwin, Jeudy, Boyd, Rondale, Palmer, Agholor
TE - Bowers, Schultz, Otton
Looks perfect to me
I just did a couple drafts on DK after doing a bunch on UD. I've decided I'm going back to UD and will be doing as many BBMs as possible. The way DK shows your roster is stupid. The only thing better is I never miss click on DK. There is something funky about the button pushing on UD. Maybe it's just me.
How's this team?
QB: Burrow Daniels Minshew
RB: Jacobs Rhamondre Chase Bucky Tracy Guerendo Demercado
WR: Chase Adams DK Jeudy Burton Wilson Reynolds
TE: Pitts Bowers Sinnott

I like it. The 3rd te and 3rd qb were unnecessary though . I’d prolly have taken a lotto ticket on another rb and wr instead .
Thanks for the feedback. Question, which of the 3 at each position would you elect to have foregone? When thought of from this perspective I feel the third TE and QB could be useful.

Minshew is meh and may not start . And your first 2 tes are very good so no need for a 3rd so no Sinnot for me .
My one and only CMC roster.
Levis fell to me, but I never would have drafted him if I was paying attention and saw he had the same bye as Herbert.
Also hate that my 2 main RBs have the same bye as well. Need a lot of help in week 9.
QB - Purdy, Herbert, Levis,
RB - CMC, Warren, Javonte, Wright, Sermon
WR - Aiyuk, Waddle, Flowers, Hollywood, Jamo, Johnston, Chark, Bourne, MVS
TE - Kittle, Kmet, Okonkwo

I think 3qbs here isn’t necessary but it’s completely fine especially bc they’re all stacked. Same w te. On UD I would’ve stopped at 2 for each but with dk roster sizes it’s more acceptable
Think the rest of the team is fine except for maybe demarcado who is just almost always a 0
Would’ve liked to grab some bring backs, looks like only Pitts from what I can tell
Overall solid team

Wouldn’t worry about the bye weeks as it’s not like you’re getting a 0 that week at qb w purdy still
This team is solid, but I think you may need another rb instead of MVS
I get the importance of stacking and that optimally we want 1-3 pass catchers with our QBs, but I realized I'm doing a lot of 2-3 man stacks. Like this one below, I have Tua+3, Baker+2, and Levis+2
That's half my roster on just 3 teams. Great if they crush, but I'm not sure if I need to diversify more.
QB - Tua, Baker, Levis
RB - Rhamondre, Najee, Ford, Zeke, CEH, Shipley
WR - Reek, Waddle, Deebo, Kirk, Ridley, Godwin, Franklin, Boyd, Malik
TE - Otton, Muth
Nope, that's exactly what you want to do. And then you counteract the variance of betting big on certain teams in each build by drafting volume. This team you drafted Mia, Cle, Tenn. Next team draft KC, GB, Car. Or do a new team with Mia, Cle, NE, instead of Tenn. And so on.
Stacking means you have to get less right.
The first 15 mins of this video speaks to the importance of stacking multiple guys.
Stacking pocket passers like Tua and Baker with multiple pass catchers is more important than stacking someone like Lamar with multiple guys.
Had some rb fallers so got my 2nd Saquon share and first mixon share in bbm
Qb - Dak, Bryce, Nix
Rb - Saquon, Mixon, C Brown, Vidal, Estime
Wr - CD, D Smith, Hollywood, Diontae, Samuel, Cooks, Legette, Franklin
Te - McBride, Otton
Another one with some big fallers. McBride and Ladd 14 picks past ADP
Qb - Lamar, Herbert
Rb - Mondre, Benson, Spears, Charb, Vidal, Bucky
Wr - MHJ, London, Flowers, Nuk, Ladd, QJ, Tez Walker, N Brown
Te - McBride, Chig

Not a fan of your rbs besides rhamondre and spears . Your wrs are very good and so is qb .
I should also add that stacking multiple skill guys without the QB has also been shown to be +ev. I have quite a few teams where I have 2-4 of Reek/Waddle/Achane/Mostert/Wright/Jonnu without Tua. I've been multi-stacking Pats, even without Maye, especially since it's possible Brissett does play the full year. I'll do the same with Jags/Titans but not always with Trevor/Levis. Stacking JJ/Addison/Hock/Jones/Chandler without McCarthy or Darnold. I think the goal is to make multi-level bets on specific offenses and/or projected playoff correlation in every team you build.
I think you should lean into drafting more guys like Benson, Charb, Vidal, and Bucky. I think uncertainty and chaos are the levers we are looking to pull in best ball, especially when we are mainly playing for w17. The RB position having so much injury and weekly volume variance just adds to the appeal.
Sure, this specific team of jimmy's could end up completely dead due to the RB room. Or, it could end up being a big upside RB room with multiple hits when we are looking back on the season. Especially when paired with the strength of his other positions.

I like having atleast 3 sure rbs mixed in with lotto tickets .
There's definitely a balance, but if Conner or Walker get injured early in the season or if Vidal emerges as the lead back, that's exactly what he has.
The zero RB teams of old would start with guys like Benson or Spears in the 7th/8th rounds as the first RB pick and then carry on from there. Being able to anchor with Mondre and then build out makes it more risk averse than it looks on paper, imo. Assuming Mondre is always filling a spot, jimmy really only needs one decent score from the other 5 per week, especially to start the season.
I'm not saying this is the way to do it for every team, but sometimes you want to feel uncomfortable when building teams. What looks good for w1 could look like absolute trash by w17. Projections can go out the window once the games begin.

I agree especially if we are maxing out contests .
QB - Purdy, Tua
RB - Bijan, Monty, Javonte, Chubb, Wright, CEH
WR - Waddle, Deebo, Cooper, Higgins, Gabe, Pearsall, Mims, Bourne, Toney
TE - Kittle, Jonnu, Gesicki
I took Bryce in the last round, didn’t really need him, but was between him and bigsby and didn’t think it mattered. Should I have taken Tank? It was basically a pure luxury pick
Qb - Lamar, Geno, Bryce
Rb - moss, pollard, singletary, zeke, charb
Wr - Chase, Nico, DK, Rice, JSN, Legette, Bateman, Tez Walker
Te - Andrews, Jonnu

RBs are already good. Bryce > Tank all day every day.
Drafted my least favorite team I think I’ve drafted so far in bbm
Qb - Purdy, Baker, Minshew
Rb - Henry, Najee, Brob, Vidal, Bucky
Wr - MHJ, Adams, Flowers, Godwin, Legette, Pearsall, McMillan, Raymond
Te - Kittle, Bowers
