It is interesting how having a woman at a featured table brings out the misogynist neanderthals in the thread.

And by "interesting," I mean disgusting and contemptible.

As a Phillies fan, thank you for the stories.

Kane seemed decent, but it's been a while since I've seen him.

Tons of main event champs survived Day 1, including Gold and Yang. Lol.

Hossein Ensan sitting on a pretty big stack.

Ivey doing well. Negreanu on short stack.

What was this? That dude was a poker pro LMAO. Against CO who can have even A4o and A7o if he did open, if he cold called he still has A7s and A4s playing deeöp.

The pro 3bets 6k to 12k for small value. Amateur jams it in for a lot.
What was he thinking? Beats 0 value so he excepts to see a 4bet all in shove bluff on river main event day 1?

Must be some online pro this geek. People were commenting that top boat should not go broke against quads on day 1 which I disagree with, but this is really som

while no one likes folding a boat, and it seems pretty nitty, the hand-reading on this one and range narrowing by the river suggested a fold here. clearly not a super top pro player. but do i fault the guy? like i said, if it were you sitting in that chair, in that spot, holding the 3rd nuts, under the bright lights and TV and all the eyes upon you..... i just dont fault him for going broke. it really seems, certainly in the moment, to be a situation where the hand is "just too strong to fold."

My fav part was you calling someone out for a stupid play but can't figure out that she was getting 2 to 1 on a call and not 3 to 1. 3rd grade math is hard

by Loctus k

It seems incredible but from all the ME day 1 updates I've seen it seems extremely +EV to 3b jam a2c any time someone raises you on the river lol

People out here folding everything but the literal nut combo

The problem you are going to have is that when you 3 bet jam the river against a raise you are going to run into the literal nuts a not insignificant amount of the time. That's of course if nobodies already realised you are 3 bet jamming over every single river raise and called you lighter anyway

Someone bagged 490k chips on day 1D. Thats way above anyone else.
Anyone know what is the biggest day 1 bag in history? Since when did 60k stack start?

What? I wrote 1:3 as 1/3 as 1 divided by 3. In my country ":" is the official division symbol with "/". It might not be the standard in poker industry, but 33% equity so being right 1 out of 3 times was exactly what she needed in that spot for chipEV breakeven.

I guess logical reasoning is not your strong suit if you could not read that as "1 divided by 3" as what it is

What the hell… I was all ready to go…

What is this? How can the production suck so much? Never seen constant problems all the time from pokerstars streams for example.

The Main Event is biggest tournament of the year, they should have two different stream setups going on so people could multitable watch or choose which one they like and every day from the start with standard 60min delay. How it is possible that the stream starts every day like 6 hours after the play has started?

And we have to pay expensive monthly sub for that? That is just insane. Hopefully the coverage of WSOP would get to a level it should be at in the future at some point.

The 500k bag is the biggest Day 1 bag in the history of main event by far!

There have only been few +400k bags, rigby did 400k and 2nd largest bag in history was 417k by someone.

Watch out for that guy!

Last years entrants at the end of 1D:

9,337

This year:
9,288

And it seems more popular than ever to late reg. Wouldn't be surprised if they break the record. Yay poker isn't dying ! Phew...that was a close one!

The WSOP sucks at marketing.

They rely on being the #1 in the field and name brand recognition to get players to the tournaments. That’s great for people already in the poker ecosystem but they generally aren’t good at, or don’t try to, get new players from outside the ecosystem.

Imagine if the WSOP had a once a year special charity event invitational featuring Hollywood celebs, music celebs, and major influences from YT and social media. CBS, ESPN, someone would air that every single year.

That’s just one of many things they could do but are missing out on.

Hell, WSOP doesn’t even have to do it. GGPoker could do it and probably even get a big network to air it. Go all out. During the level breaks have some famous singer perform. Remember, it’s a charity event where the backdrop is poker. People would watch that and it would bring new players in.

What is this?

Early position raises 14k so I guess there must be UTG open and EP 3bet to 14k. Then she makes some kind of angle with aces by missclick minraising? EP goes into tank and shoves KK and then she with aces tanks for few minutes before making the call?

Was it some kind of "revenge" (for what?) or was that just a brutal slowroll. Sick hand.

Someone needs to explain to that woman that what she just did is an egregiously shitty thing because I'm pretty sure she's unaware of that.

The interesting part is if she has the IQ to understand after having it explained.

I'll even forgive the preflop raise angle. Whatever. The tank call though....... mhm..

Considering some of the other reports we've seen, I feel we can't completely rule out that the report was inaccurate in some way.

I canceled my annual PokerGo subscription after last year and signed up for a quarter just for WSOP.

I won’t be doing that again. I’m done paying them anything anymore. Too many cancellations and issues with live coverage. The archives are nice but that’s not worth the fees.

Besides, it seems they stream half of the live WSOP events for free on YouTube so where’s the incentive to buy a subscription? FOMO can be real but I’ve been duped too many times by them to fall for it again.

Gg PokerGo.

The amount they give away for free is super annoying when you are paying an annual sub, thats for sure.

Everything looks obvious after the fact.

You must be new here.
PokerGo is delayed at least half the time
To complain is to get yourself a one day ban here
(so this post wont be up too long)

I mean, you act like theyve been doing this for literally 40 days in a row this year
And multiple years in a row
You expect them to know what they are doing?
They need more time to figure this out.

The commentators mics are WAY louder than the table talk tonight and its not nice imo

Is there no sound on everyone”s YouTube feed?

I find the audio is typically low for me

Is there no sound on everyone”s YouTube feed?

Have they put it up for free again on Youtube? I'm on Pokergo and the sound is all there.
