I do enjoy 7 Rings as a guilty pleasure fun song, but I also like Despacito as a fun song…understand both aren’t good, but shrug

99% of the rest of 2000s pop and “hits” are ugh

Same with rap; haven’t found new rap that I like; 90s rap was amazing, just can’t get into newer rap. Guess I just like the beats and flow of gangster rap, dmx, no limit, Eminem and 90s ATL rap (OutKast, goodie mob, ludacris, lil Jon, etc) and newer rap is different enough that I just can’t get into it…not even just mumble rap but Kendrick and Drake and Kanye and other more recent “greats” as well as the newer ATL rap (young thug, Gucci mane, ti, future, 2 chainz, etc)

Luckily there are other genres like Symphonic Metal and some singer-songwriters and hard rock artists keeping this century relevant for me and keeping me from having to listen to just last century “oldies”
