Clark is legit amazing

Just put a little more on Reese for ROY at 5-1. I know everyone ITT is wishing me luck!

like i said, i'm happy to book all the reese action you want

Reese should objectively be ahead of her right now. her EFF is higher.

but CC is closing the gap. whichever player has a better second half of the season should be the favorite to win

Highlights of CC 29/13 game are pretty sick. There's one where she makes an awesome quick pass fake that leads to a backdoor layup. She was just serving up her crappy teammates for layups. Btw did you see AR flop with 5 sec left and her team up like 6+ points so she could maintain the double double streak.

had a big position on the game so sweated the last few min

clark was easily the best player on the court and she had like 3 turnovers which were due to teammates blunders or bad officiatigng

2x standard pass to open teammate on the 3pt line who isn't even looking at her and lets ball sail by (happened twice lol wnba) and a pass to a cutting teammate who is held and it is uncalled so she couldn't continue the run to get the ball whereas if she weren't held it woud have been an easy uncontested layup

can't wait until they can get her some better teammates

it was about 15 seconds left. she needed one point. the sky were up 7 points. the whole crowd was on its feet yelling and gesturing to pass the ball to angel. all her teammates were pointing to pass the ball to angel.

sure, it's not the best way to keep the streak going, but i would have done it. it's not that big of a deal. it's what the crowd wanted.

you can even see the girl on the other team is clapping for her when she makes the free throw

interesting spot

it's also not weird for wnba games to be played out, the "we need to hold the ball and eat a shot clock violation out of respect" is more of an nba thing

learned that the hard way

Disagree. Unless it's scrubs that never see the court, taking a shot up multiple possessions without the other team trying to extend the game is weak.

They weren't going to eat a violation, don't even think that's really a thing in the NBA, but maybe.

I figured it'd be a legitimate foul at least. That was beyond soft as she just fell down.

also WNBA games are only 40 minutes, as opposed to men's 48 minutes.

and previous record for a rookie double double streak was 6 games

But doesn't it balance out for misses (rebound chances) since fg% is miserable

she grabbed her. very clear foul. what? 😆

she's missing 6.8 shots a game. it looks like that's about 10% above avg for the top 10 offensive rebounders.

meanwhile her offensive rebounds are about 80% above avg for the top 10

I was referring to just the overall mediocre shooting in most games, not her specifically. It's 4% lower despite smaller ball, etc. The interior game often looks like youth basketball level.

Don't care about the double double streak as it's pretty meaningless, just like when Love or Sabonis were setting it (discounting Wilt)

If that's a foul, they could call one every sequence. It was soft, didn't watch the game because there was wet paint nearby, so maybe that was standard.

ESPN ranks her in first place right now

Don’t tell the Caitlin Crew in this thread! You’re killing my action. 🤣

Swann, you have infinite action right here in this thread.

lol women

angel got 10 points and 10 rebounds for her 15th in a row.

she struggled. got blocked like 5 times maybe

We’re going streaking!

Voters aren't going to look kindly upon this unethical stat padding. Caitlin and her ethical hooping are gonna ship it.

Is everybody going to the quad???

If so, count me in.

now i'll be the first to admit i don't watch much youth basketball

and i genuinely would have agreed with this statement 10 years ago, that a wnba couldn't beat a state champs hs team

but i don't think that's true anymore, the last few years the women's game has really progressed

caitlin may be at the forefront, but as reese and others also show, the game is rapidly improving

they'd still lose to a college team, but i don't think they'd lose to a hs team anymore - at least it'd be very competitive

wow crazy if true. I assume it is. and the 40 minute games makes it a lot harder

so this is the NY crowd going crazy for Chicago sky player angel Reese getting her 10th rebound in the final minutes. look at that crowd. angel Reese was totally right when she said people are not watching JUST for Caitlin Clark. "they are watching for me too, and a lot of other players"

I mean it's objectively true. and she got so much flack for saying it
