This seems key. A item close to his heart, clearly.

The answer to the plastic question seems emphatic so I’m guessing that things like toothpaste are excluded.

Just surveyed my bathroom and most of the things in it a person might take on holiday are mainly plastic, apart from towels and toilet roll, shampoo and soap.

Kitchens: cutlery, glasses, kitchen roll, items of food and drink including tea and coffee and snacks like biscuits/cookies, cheese, chips etc, and medicines and one offs like cocktail sticks. Not sure which of these count as naturally occurring.

It's not naturally occurring...

Not a question, but a coffee cup or thermos or something like that. Feels more kitcheny than bathroomy

That's electrical
Would need to make pop tarts on a frying pan.

Is the item something you eat, drink, or cook with?

Yes. I was saying I didn’t know if tea or coffee would be excluded as they come in man made containers.

I’m guessing the clarity means it’s neither of those.

Yes

Maybe a Teapot? Does the median American man own one of those?
Or just some kind of cup? Do most people travel with a cup (that isn't plastic)?

Where is irtm from?

Is it mostly made of glass or ceramic?

If it was actually something edible, would 12 have been a yes? I think I would have answered no, but I can see the other interpretation.

If irtm feels like this is a reasonable thing to clarify without costing a question, please do.

Or it's a toilet roll.

Or it's a toilet roll.

I hope you don't eat with that.

Or it's a toilet roll.

Irtm has to travel with 3-ply roll rather than risk facing a 1-ply

bog rolls shred rashed knees while praying to the poor or a so long gone god

Think it's fair to assume by eat or drink it means actual food or drink.

It's not a patch of grass...yes you could eat it, but no.
It's not a cup of urine...yes you could drink it, but no.

That's not the issue at all. You seem to have missed the word "with".

I would say you eat with a spoon.

I wouldn't normally say you eat with cornflakes. But someone might say he eats bananas with his corn flakes.

However, I might say you ea

Ah I see what you're saying. Yes the question was meant to cover cutlery, frying pans, coffee cups type stuff.

I wouldn't say the answer is yes if the answer was a food or drink itself.

I figured that as well, until corn flakes were speculated as a possibility.

Not that it matters since I'm not aware of anything that we eat that's mostly made of metal.
However, I interpreted the question the same was a chillrob.

If this was a food item, it's pretty unlikely that I would have answered yes for it. If it happened to be like sugar/salt/pepper or something like that, could have gotten into a weird grey area. Or like hot water? I dunno.
