2024 World Series of Poker May 28th to July 17th ***No Spoilers***
The 2024 WSOP will take place at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 28 to July 17, 2024, with the Main Event running from July 3 to July 17. The Main Event – poker’s undisputed freezeout world championship – will have four starting days, beginning on Wednesday, July 3. Players may also register directly on Day 2.
I have an idea to avoid pay jump staling... 10,000 entrant max field. Each table has 10 players. Win your table and move on to the next round . Win a total of 4 tables and you're world champion .
You could arrange the prizes so there's no incentives to stall for pay jumps.
This is called a shootout tournament. They run one of these every year at WSOP. If the Main Event was done in this shootout format, here is how it would pay with 10,000 players. So if you won your first table you would be in the money. If you lost at your 2nd table you would get $46k. If you won your 2nd table but lost at your 3rd table, you would get $216k. If you won your 3rd table, then you would be in the final 10 and playing for the top prize of $10 million with $800k for 10th.

And the event would be likely over in 4 days, 5 days if you split day 1.
Not sure if that's a plus or minus in WSOP mgmts eyes
Just when I thought we were free from last years' "oh Mr. Wu" nonsense, with Mr. Wu long out, turns out there's a second, younger Mr. Wu at the table and that brings up the subject. What luck.
I think that was the first Royal Flush I’ve ever seen on a stream!! Pretty cool lol
Duck guy going to the payout window. Poultry in motion.
Who's railing Lena?
No harm, no fowl.
I don’t think I would have made that A8 call. If she’s bluffing, she’s bluffing. Let it go and don’t go for the hero call.
That’s a monster pot KK vs AA. Wish they would’ve given us exact counts for both players but Davis probably short now and Hernandez run away chip leader. The type of hand that can change trajectory of the tournament
How have I never heard of a Dundee Chop before?! I'm from near there lol
This is going to get weird when news that Trump was shot (he's alive, ear bloodied) filters through to the players (the announcers know now).
Don’t really see how it would effect the poker tournament
Brandon Canto has laddered up another pay jump.
[Strike]Cantu is guaranteed $200k now, with a chance for more.[/strike]
Brandon Cantu is now guaranteed $250K with a chance for more.
Damn Suzzer…. It actually happened lol
They're talking about the Trump shooting at the table now.
cantu putting on a masterclass of not trying whatsoever to win this tournament but inexplicably laddering up
That river heart can change the whole tournament
Stfu Lon, not seeing the cards sucks.
