Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
lol yup. He's not getting paid 8M to not be on the roster
The more interesting thing for me now is already what is going to happen when lebron retires. Will there still be interest from NBA teams? You'd have to think so because Lebron walking to your court to watch his son has its value
You guys are underrating how bad he is I think.
I could maybe see him getting a cup of coffee late in the year after a few injuries or something, but he won't be on the Lakers roster for any extended period of time I doubt.

I think he's got a Sopranos style no show gig with Nike or Klutch making 573k a year in 2 years, this thing is over sooner than later.

I couldn’t get through 3 minutes of that shouty guy video, but I know he was like the 3rd best player in a high school team that couldn’t win its league. I get that he is bad.
The last roster spot on your team is also worth way less than keeping LeBron happy. At least for a couple months. Maybe if he runs out there and gets embarrassed to **** a few times cause dudes want to show him up, they’ll cut it short. That’s kinda hard to do in basketball though if its just garbage time tho.
Lakers already came out and said that Bronny and LeBron will share the court early in the season to MaKe HiStOrY.
That Rich Paul stuff was pure gaslighting tho.
The only reason any team would pick him besides the lakers would have been for the publicity/money. Is that worth the distraction? I dunno, definitely not for a team that actually wants to contend. I’d say anyone who wants to actually make the playoffs would never even consider it. So it’s like a handful of pure tankers who DGAF - Wiz? Hornets?
Also Bronnys media value on the Lakers >>>>>>his value on any other team.
most 2nd rounders never see the roster, most teams would have gladly rolled the dice on him knowing at the very least it'll mean a ton of attention for the team
these are nba teams, the tv rights etc are going for like a trillion dollars these days ..... if doing random attention whore pr stunts was a thing any of them were at all interested in, i think we'd probably see more of them. when a guy can't play to save his life like this, i think it falls into the "distraction" category.
along those lines, anyone seen lavar ball lately?
Bronny is gonna play at least 20 games lol
I’ll take the under
Who cares about any of this? Lakers will be like 9th in the West and will continually hamstring themselves until LeBron retires. It's a horrible investment considering Lakers fans don't even like LeBron.
i refuse to acknowledge the existence of space jam 2 and will never watch
yeah this isnt the UFC putting kimbo slice on TUF back in the day
nba teams dont need some scrub with a last name to get attention and it wouldnt bring any besides a woj bomb or something

it's a few extra million dollars in tickets/jerseys/media revenue for a pick that usually gives you the pleasure of paying a g leaguer for 3 years before he joins a roster in europe
Finding out brunson will be eligible for a 320/4 extension broke my ****ing soul
What the hell are we even doing here

Kinda sounds like even laker fans are sick of Bronnie and the roster spot he’ll occupy to do **** all
On one hand I get that they wanna make LBJ happy on the other hand Wtf has he even done for you that you give two shits about his happiness
curious how long it'll take for his joy turn to ashes in his mouth having to hear every day how much his nepotism failson absolutely ****ing sucks
then again, he might not care anymore. already half-retired
hence hiring his podcast buddy to coach

also wanted to add that last year i interviewed with a company that literally puts together packages on draft prospects - not on their talent and ability to play at the professional level - but instead on how much media attention they're likely to receive, estimated jersey sales, etc
it's quite uncommon for a team to have a player they feel extremely confident is the best available player - furthermore, since the majority of the picks never amount to more than role players and possibly never make the roster, they do quite often use estimates like who they think the fans will like and who will sell the most jerseys etc as a tie breaker
obviously they want the best player, but when you have 2 small forwards of seemingly equal skill and age who both fit the 3 and D profile that your team needs, the guy who played for a major program and featured heavily in march madness is going to be the one taken first most of the time due to that outside consideration
my point is, that's a very real consideration in the draft room - it wouldn't be if scouting wasn't so inefficient, but the bust rate is high on talent but very secure in rookie year jersey sales
how many jerseys do 2nd round picks move on average?
how much money do teams make per shirt?
I’m definitely curious to see how many people actually pay cash money for a Bronnie jersey. I’m guessing 6
On an attention/playing time to talent ratio there a good chance he’s the worst player in nba history
Bronny needs his own video game if he wants to compete with Griffey Jr.
Lebron never even got his own game!
Kobe was the last one.

look beyond 2nd round nba picks, include mid first round, nhl as well
all rounds for nfl
a 2nd tier french soccer team debating which striker to sign
etc etc
at the end of the day these are first and foremost businesses and it's very difficult to know which draft picks will be good and which won't but if one could generate a few extra million in revenue then that is obviously the preferable one to choose
