Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards
Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?
I have read about it in the past, just curious.
How many hours am I looking at to achieve diamond solely off poker play?
Thanks I'll check that out!
If you play any level game at Caesar’s it’s 34 tier credits an hour, 15000 Tac for diamond, so 442. Horseshoe I think is still 17 per hour, so double that
Horseshoe also will have games that they're trying to promote that will be double tier credits, but they might not be running all the time. Or might just be terrible games.

Those are 2/3 I think? The word I heard is they are better games because they play considerably bigger. But I only heard that from one guy.

"Better" is very subjective. I was in Vegas last December and was playing 2/5 at Caesars, someone asked about other CET properties with Poker Rooms. Horseshoe was mentioned and immediately advised the games were bad. I thought, how bad could they be. Next day went over and played 2/3 at Horseshoe. Again, subjective and maybe I just got a bad table draw but it was noticeable players seemed to be grinding hours for either credits, Comps, or the 30-min High Hands. Limp-Call (almost never any 3-bets) 5 way preflop almost always. Seemed myself and one other guy at the table were not room regs and the others sat there like they were clocked in for their 9-5 shift at the factory. After about 90 minutes I couldn't take it anymore.
I did play some 2/3 their last month during WSOP, and game was much different, wide open and played like a loose 2/5.

The only time I ever played in this rooms for some 3 game mix game of omaha bomb pot variants. But from what I understand this room does a lot of high hand promos, free rolls for hitting x amount of hours in a month etc. So it's going to mainly attract promo grinding nits.
During wsop and non the games are much different, there is no freeroll/hours promo during wsop.
The $1/3 is much better then $2/3 but $2/3 still fine imo the promo nits are quite bad.
I would still play the $2/3 over the $1/3 regardless because of the $200 min buy in.
Does anyone know if you can double dip the 10x promo in August in both Las Vegas and Laughlin?

If by double dip you mean collect one at both on same day, probably not.
If you mean earn some credits in both locations the same day such that in total you earn the bonus based on both site, then yes. Or at least yes in the past.
That I can’t say. What I can say is CET has gotten demonstrably worse every year since Covid. And that pattern doesn’t seem to be reversing.
If people don’t care and keep giving them their business, then they have no reason to change. But as we see with their business results, ElDorado is not doing things right and it is showing. You can see the same thing with regard to their employee sentiment. Workers have left in droves.
If they want to turn things around, maybe they should start by not trea
I can, answer is an easy no

Laughlin is a few days before Vegas even starts, 22-25th i believe then Vegas starts on the 26th.
Don’t know if I can cap both if I wanted to or not.

The annual membership fee is pretty high, $595, but with some emails to customer service I was able to get it for $395/year plus an extra perk. I chose 2 complimentary United Lounge passes (value $118) which offset the member dues. With membership, I receive complimentary Hilton Honors Gold, IHG Gold Elite, and Caesars Rewards Diamond status.
So how much does it usually cost for Diamond status? I mean, in an advantage way, not by blindly getting raped doing coin-in on a slot machine.
I'm trying to figure how much I save going this route combined with some rental car and airline upgrades this membership offers.

When I said Horseshoe 2/3 was better, I meant better than Horseshoe 1/3.
I have played at the Horseshoe (nee Bally's) quite a bit. Not enough that I would be considered a regular, but enough that I know many of the dealers and players.
The $1/$3 games have a $300 max buy in. The $2/$3 have a $500 max buy in. The $1/$3 games earn 17 tier points per hour and the $2/$3 earn 34.
As a result of the bigger buy in, the $2/$3 games can be much juicier. It attracts players who just want to gamble. They think nothing of dropping $1000 on Blackjack and don't think any differently about poker. It also attracts a whole lot of nits who are looking to bumhunt or obtain status.
As a result there is a ridiculously wide range of games. There are plenty of games where the table is full of people looking at their phones just nitting it up. In this case the $1/$3 games are often bigger. There is rarely a flop and pots are small.
There are also times where more than half of the table has $1500 in front of them and more than a few of them are looking to gamble. These games are crazy and ridiculous.
It depends.
I think it is far more nitty than not, but it is really juicy just often enough to consider.

That is an impossible question to answer.
A decent poker player who has a Caesars casino nearby so they play a lot of poker can get Diamond at no cost. They are making money playing (lots) of poker. Other people will play a little bit of poker and mix it in with playing some video poker which has a slight negative EV, but huge variance. Others just buy the Founders card. Some just gamble it up and play slots and craps for lots of money for a few days
It all depends.
That said, most consider getting the Founders card at $395 to be an acceptable price to pay for Diamond. Unless you are a good poker player with easy access to a Caesars property it is one of the lowest variance options.
BTW, there is a whole thread on getting Diamond status on the Casino and Cardroom board. It discusses some of the ins and outs and when there are bonus days (such as 10X tier points days) which make gambling foe it more profitable. Check out that thread.
$79.99.
Step 1: sign up for a wyndham account
Step 2: sign up for wyndham rewards earners business card (note, you dont need what youd think of as a “business” to open a business card). This has a $79.99 yearly fee. Provide your wyndham account # when signing up. This will get you wyndham diamond
Step 2: status match wyndham to caesars.
Some notes:
If you want the $100 food credit you gotta earn some tier credits, i earned mine at caesars palace in vegas
If you want to do the free atlantis trip, theres like $70/night in fees, and you gotta gamble at least 4 hours in atlantis during your 4 day trip, and poker isnt always available.

Yup. The Atlantis offer got way worse this year (more fees,no water park pass and they're actually enforcing the 4 hours thing).

The most straightforward way to do this is put in 2500 tier credits of play on a 5x TC multiplier day.
The lowest cost way is good-paying VP. I know at Caesars Palace LV you can find 9/6 Job (payout around 99.5%) at $25/TC and $25/hand. It would cost just over $300 in EV to put $62,500 of play on these machines.
But the variance on this would be enormous and you could easily lose $10,000.
A much lower variance but slightly lower EV option would be 9/5 JoB (payout 98.5%) at $10/TC and $5/hand. This would cost about $400 in EV for $25,000 in play.
I believe there are a few other Ceasars markets where you can find 9/6 JoB at $10/TC. If you live close to those, you should probably play that.

I havent gone yet, so cant say for fact, and last time i went was 2019, but resort fees fine print specifically states it includes daily access to the aquaventure waterpark, and they always charged the resort fees. Resort fees go up every year everywhere too.
The deal has gotten worse, but not reallynbecause of the fees or anything to do with the water park. They are offering a slightly worse tower (its month based, but sometimes you coild stay in a nicer tower based on the month, and certain months you cant go for free period anymore, which wasnt the case before), it also doesnt come with 1 free dolphin show, or $100 food and $100 gambling credit. I also was gonna go with my mom, but we booked like a day apart because of stupid reasons, and they now are blacking out the dates that I booked even though there are tons of rooms left and im going during the offseason.
Im mostly just hoping a poker game gets off the ground because ive sort of lost interest in non poker gambling, especially solo. 4 hrs of rolling dice sounds boring.

I'll have to double check on the water park. The last few years it was clearly listed as a benefit. The fact it's buried in fine print makes me think they just copied and pasted some old terms. I hope I'm wrong about that.
There were resort fees for lower tier diamond. I forgot if you needed diamond plus or diamond elite to have them waved, now you need 7 stars most months.
I also just remembered they gave me 200 or 250 dollars slot play for diamond elite and now that's gone.
I haven't been back to Vegas in a long time but before the Pandemic I had Diamond Status over 4 years I think grinding VP over 2 days playing 2500 TCs to get the 5K bonus. This was a while ago... I think last year was maybe 2018/2019?
Now they have 3 tiers of Diamond? Hypothetically that would be good since it lets you strive for something between Diamond/7 Stars but they've basically taken all the Diamond benefits and kinda spread it out over the three tiers of Diamond.
I guess my questions are:
Is it true that free water is Diamond+ or was someone just confusing that with the free drink benefit? They use to have these available in the "VIP checkin area" that you could grab at any time. I'm guessing free water counts as a "free drink" now?
Are all the Laurel Lounges permanently gone from Vegas?
If I just grind VP to get Diamond+... is that too little to qualify for them not to take away the 4 free drinks? I know it's still ongoing but seems like playing only VP is not enough anymore.
I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here but I can't believe they're doing so badly that they've somehow made the benefits that much worse. I was thinking I would grind this and visit Vegas maybe a few times a year just to get some nice perks (like express lines/check-in/etc) but now I'm not even sure I get that unless I get Diamond Plus?
You get express lines for Diamond, not sure about the water. Never was concerned about getting free water in Vegas though. Main perks for most for Diamond is getting into a poker game easy and no resort fees.
Caesars rewards is best rewards out there, but like the entire rest of the consumer world is subject to cutbacks.

The tier tiers of diamond mean a lot less when they just pull benefits for those tiers from people mid year.
Laurel lounges gone.
Nobody knows exactly what gets the 4 drinks cut off but I wouldn't play specifically to try and get them.
The drinks thing is funny. Id love to see the spreadsheet that led to that decision. Maybe the damage from poker grinders is somehow worse than we imagine.
I get diamond passively from online play. I don't think I'd bother grinding for it anymore otherwise.
Glad I had 7 Star in 2018/2019....seemed to be the peak of it. Those 7 Star lounges in AC were the best
