Not really, no, because stocks aren't a currency. Fiat doesn't tank against real estate, gold, or Ferraris either. Euros going up is the same as the dollar tanking against the Euro though. That's how I'd use that word anyway, but happy to be educated otherwise.

You need to look at it as a commodity, like gold, rather than as a currency. it is not a good currency.
