XKCD Crossword puzzle. Some clues are easy. Some are tough.

I heard today that the Las Vegas Mirage has raised all their Progressive jackpot payouts. They need to give out all the money before they shutdown.

Time for some Video Poker!

I thought it was they HAD to pay out 1.3 million in progressive jackpots due to gaming commission rules

Right. So they jacked the progressive amounts to payout the 1.3 milli.

So basically almost all the VP progressives are EV+

way to go!

my gas bill was 8 dollars last month!

my gf clogged up the shower. so instead of fixing it, I'd just turn the shower on to get wet, then turn it off, then wash up, then turn it back on to rinse off

This is the superior way to get clean.

Filthy, look what was at my local Outback! #18

I wouldn't take a cyber truck for free. if you paid me 5k a month, I'd probably take it

I really wanna go to outback though lol. I went there when they first opened up, maybe 30ish years ago? and haven't been there since. I liked it, back then

There's about 13000 Cybertrucks currently on the road. In the news/reddit/forums to date I've read/watched videos of about 10 instances of Cybertrucks involved in an accident.

So over the last 6 months, ~0.1% of all Cybertrucks I have personally read about being in involved in mostly minor but some major accidents. The way I interpret this is that driving is dangerous and accidents happen fairly frequent. Cybertruck fame just makes it more apparent.

Outback was awesome! They currently have a 3-course meal deal with cheesecake for dessert. And the Cybertruck was gone when we walked out.

I would love to see you just *sitting* in a Cybertruck. lol

😆

if one of the poker guys ever gets a cybertruck, i'll ask if I can take a pic in it

I'm not sure if I've mentioned, but we're on baby watch! Only 5.7 weeks officially. But doctor suggests it'll be ~5 weeks. And any time after like August 1st we're not 'premature' so could be sort of whenever.

Congrats, irtm and cc!

Congratulations! Those 5 weeks are going to fly by. Exciting!

😀

congrats irtm!!!

GLGLGL IRTM & cc

Today I had a 100min job video interview for "Technology Consulting Senior Manager" at Accenture that went pretty much perfect
I will be pretty pumped if I can land that job and only be unemployed for 3m. I will be a big winner with that bag of money I got for being dismissed

Good luck, Gabe!

RIP Bob Newhart

My dear friend kioshk used to claim that ol’ Bob was the funniest man alive.

IBD, you know me too well. I think I used to say that about Norm MacDonald too, and now they've both left us. Bob Newhart I can't say enough good things about. His 70s sitcom kept a crazy lonely teenaged me sane, every Saturday night at 8:30, right between Mary Tyler Moore and Carol Burnett. Then the 80s show, also great, on and on. RIP Bob!

I agree whole-heartedly. And the finale of his 80s show is possibly the best finale ever, certainly the funniest did-he-really-just-do-that moment on TV.

And his albums were gold.

happy birthday mark!!!

I hope you get some great birthday freebies today!

woo hoo!

Happy Birthday, Mark!

I saw my first Cyber Truck this weekend. It's bigger than I thought it would be.

I do love these Funyuns, but they're shredding my poor gums.

Which reminds me, remember that kid younggums who played WW here on pog? Rich kid from up north of San Antonio.

They have funyun flavored potato chips now

Thanks guys!!!

No Cybertruck gifts for me (yet) but I did blow by Cybertruck #21 on the freeway yesterday.

I got a new hoodie to replace an old worn out one (sniff) and a cutting power tool. A man can never have too many tools!

no bday freebies? like from outback or McDonald's or Walmart or wherever?
