2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Finally UD adds both the option to join more than one draft with a single click and the graphic to show how many entries you have remaining for that contest.
Chris Olave headed to the non football injury list.
He's experiencing back tightness but it's not a significant situation according to Nick Underhill.
Some guy was reaching the entire draft so that was fun lol.
Qb : Tua , Cousins , Dimes
Rb : Rashaad , Aaron Jones , Warren , Brian Robinson jr , Ray Davis , Estime
Wr: Tyreek , Olave , Deebo , Pittman , Nuk, Slayton , Rondale , Elijah Moore
Te: Bowers, Muth , Otton

That's a beautiful team!
Deebo has now passed Aiyuk on UD ADP.
Fast puppy. pick 7.
I had tons of QB options set up and was sniped almost everywhere. I figured I'd try to push Watson to round 15/16. Nope! A guy takes him round 13 pick 152 unstacked. I got him at 179 yesterday. Jimmy got him at 196. It's not fair!
I took Jaleel as a 6th RB because he slipped past ADP and was setting up a Nix stack. Maybe I should have gone with a third TE instead.
I took Russel in the last round just in case Nix isn't the starter even though he probably will be. I have Chase Brown. Would this be considered as part of a game stack week 17? Should I have taken Fields instead since at least he can get it done with his legs but may never play? I felt with the two rookies this should be a 3 QB roster. Maybe I should have grabbed a better QB option earlier even though he probably would be unstacked.
QB) Caleb, Nix, Russ
RB) Bijan, Brooks, Brown, Dowdle, Chandler, Jaleel
WR) Nico, DJ, Cooper, K Allen, Worthy, BTJ, T Franklin
TE) Njoku, Jonnu

Nice bears stack !
It makes sense. I've been taking Deebo ahead of him the whole time. This is a bad situation with Aiyuk. Is he gonna sulk all year because he didn't get traded. Will he be slow to come back from injury? If he gets traded will it be to a good situation? How long might it take him to learn the play book and get used to things? How much practice time is he gonna miss?
This was a weird one from the 11. Guy at 12 went Purdy-Deebo with his first 2 picks.
QB - Love, Caleb, Staffrd
RB - Kamara, Singletary, Javonte, Elijah, Herbert, CEH
WR - Puka, MHJ, Pittman, Moore, Reed, M. Wilson, Robinson, Tez
TE - Hock, Taysom, Everett
Qb - Hurts, Maye
Rb - Najee, Brooks, Zeke, Dowdle, Wright, Shipley
Wr - AJB, MHJ, Flowers, Rice, Doubs, Pop, Franklin, Bourne
Te - Pitts, Goedert
Went with a slightly different build this time. 2-8-8-2. I think this build works better if you can grab an early QB and TE, but I'm okay with this one.
QB - Caleb, Tua
RB - Jacobs, Kamara, Conner, Moss, Tracy, Estime, Shipley, Hill
WR - Puka, Waddle, Moore, Ridley, Jeudy, Gabe, Demario, Malik
TE - Kmet, Jonnu

This needs 3 Te and probably 3 qb. The WRs and RBs are good, QBs fine, but te is really bad

The point was to go 2 QB / 2 TE, and spend more capital on the higher upside positions. I did want an early TE, but all the ones I liked kept getting drafted early.
I'm gonna try it again tomorrow but make sure I get an early TE.
I think Lamar-Andrews or Josh-Kincaid with Tua-Jonnu would have looked a lot better.
But why would you choose your structure pre-draft? On dk to go 2 qb/2 te, you really need to have elite onesies, once you miss, just change your structure…
I get sniped on Caleb more than any other qb lol
Yeah, well, you stole AR from him 😆
But given he’s got 3 QBs by round 10, tells me he’s just drafting on vibes.
Should've used the QB cheat sheet I posted earlier 😀 It's for DK, but I think it could apply to UD as well.
With the 7th pick in the draft, if you want Caleb you're most likely going to have to reach in round 9, or take the risk that he falls a few spots past ADP.
Normally I don't mind taking the risk (it's only 2 spots), but in your case with already having 3 Bears drafted, I would've taken him over Moss.

If I didn’t have ar I would’ve considered it, but not doing that w a qb already. I generally avoid reaching like that regardless bc we’re trying to build the best versions of tms possible, so reaching a rd over ADP limits your ability to do so even with stacking benefits
It tilts me when Caleb falls into the 11th, I’ve seen 12th once or twice too, and I have no stacking partners.
I’m probably taking him there without AR, although falling Moss is nice. With a QB already, I always push those spots.

True. I missed that you already had AR.
A little scary to have wr 2-4 as rookies, was an accident
Qb - Lamar, Herbert
Rb - CMC, Moss, Javonte, Chandler, Gibson, CEH
Wr - Evans, Nabers, Btjr, Ladd, Lockett, Shaheed, Tez Walker, Chark
Te - Andrews, Fant
Second attempt at a 2-8-8-2 started off much better, but adjusted to 3 QBs by taking a flyer at Penix in the last round over another RB.
QB - Hurts, Watson, Penix
RB - Conner, Moss, Ekeler, Zeke, Chandler, Vidal, Pierce
WR - AJB, Nico, Flowers, Godwin, Jeudy, Roman, Jennings, Ainias
TE - Pitts, Jonnu
Drafting CD Lamb number one is making sense to me. Dak Prescott is criminally going way too late in drafts. Drafting Dak without CD doesn't make sense. It's easy to get Dak in round 9 from that position. You rarely get sniped. The targets in this offense are going to be extremely condensed. Being able to load up at other positions instead of QB early is a major benefit.
It only makes sense if you want to be severely underweight on CMC, that’s not an approach I would take, but there are ppl doing it
