Great to hear! PARX has been running tournaments on Friday afternoons and Monday nights, but this is the first I've heard about the BIG STAX coming back. Woo Hoo!! It's the closest casino to my house!
Here's the website link to the schedule. Limited, but should be fun. https://www.parxcasino.com/bensalem/big-...
This is amazing news. Will probably take a Friday off to play the $750. Love parx big stax. Huge fields, great structure, and I kinda like Bensalem so not much to do so can focus on poker.
Anyone know if they are running Saturday flights? From the parx website, it seems like they aren’t which is super odd. I would take a Friday off from work to play 2 Mtts or 3 billets if I busted early but not sure I would wanna take 2 days off for a thursday+ Friday. The structures aren’t listed either which is odd
Yeah something looks off. Why wouldn’t they do day 2 on Saturday and day 3 on Sunday?
Got super excited to see the return of Big Stax and left confused on Saturday's as well. I think this will severely impact field sizes.

The no Saturdays thing is such a huge epic fail.
Philly Live runs two day structures with multi day 1 flights concluding with last day 1 on Saturday and day 2 on Sunday that are ideal for people who don’t want to have to take vacation days. I’d happy take a Monday off if I make day 3 / final table.

Parx as in the past has best structure for mid sized tournaments on the east coast !
But I don’t remember - is new $650 + 70 + 30(dealers)= $750 higher than pre-covid rake ?
And $1,360 + 100 + 40 for $1,500 tourn (looks better)
For those who have played it, what does Parx rake on their weekly $340 tourn ?
( I might guess $40 plus $15 dealers ?)

If I understand correctly :
For $340 satty, it has weird rake .$340-$30+15 = Net to Prize Pool $295.
13 players out of 100 get voucher for both $750 & $1500.
Any Locals has idea , how many runners generally they will get for satty like this ?
Thx
Any impressions so far?
Parx $750 big stax all day 1s done.
916 players total for 3 day 1s.
242 made it to day 2.
I have a healthy 200k+ stack.
Great tournament & structure.
Money bubble should be before dinner day 2
Nice. Tough to compare to prior Big Stax entries as the buy-ins are different but this looks like decent numbers given the Saturday thing; I wish i could have pulled it off. Hopefully they view this as enough momentum to get the next one on the calendar early enough to avoid whatever conflicts they had w the XCite Center / spend the cash to open up the old room in Parx East for this.
Good luck on day 2!
Nice turnout. I'm hoping they go back to their old $300/$500/$1200 buy in setup so us cheap bastard can play!
