THE Official 2024 PGA Tour Season Thread
I don't have a fancy OP or anything. But now that we are in 2024, and are back to calendar schedules instead of the reach-around schedule, its time for a new thread.
or Tony D'Annunzio
This course turning into Pinehurst is...something
Tiger waiting to captain Charlie in the RC.
Scott takes the lead, would be cool to see him win. Pretty legendary career which will probably be overlooked as times goes on. The Australian Justin Rose, kind of.
Incredible. Perfect timing to end this too.
it was quite the finish. thought MacIntyre was gone until 16.
Åberg seems to have a closing problem.
Cheers to MacIntyre. Guy drilled some clutch putts. While he's not the most consistent on tour, he's feisty and streaky and could definitely sneak an Open win sometime, somehow. Granted I was rooting for Scott.
Chuckling over the moniker Big Drop Bob. Talk about one of the most fortuitous free drops in recent memory, he looked absolutely boned until discovering a sprinkler head in waist high fescue??? I was baffled when he was also allowed to take practice swings and shovel out weeds and tall grass in doing so. Rub of the green type stuff I guess, but did he ever take advantage of a big break.
So were one day in no posts are Open Thread in Sports?
What kind of precedent for back-to-back 9's is there on the PGA Tour? Iwasaki went there today. Or back-to-back quintuples or worse, say?
Postage Stamp, the great equalizer.
can Billy Ho grab a major?
would be something (and a Yank major sweep in 2024)
Give me X, Scottie, Rose or Lowry miles ahead of Billy. We need less one-time major winners, not more.
Scottie could be leading this, he hasn't made a putt.
Sam Burns gonna somehow win this or something
the Irishman is leaking gas
Come on Scottie, that was Rory-esque.
so, Billy Ho's to lose then
rooting for him
ugly double by Brown there. inb4 he posts 76 tmr
Pretty entertaining day of golf. Leaderboard shuffle was in full effect.
Billy gets to sleep on the 54 hole lead.
Hardly Horschel's tournament "to lose." Anybody under par right now could win.
Yeah, Horschel played round of the day in worst of the conditions, but if the good weather holds up tomorrow he will likely need to play at least as good as today. Too much world class talent in the chase.
