Netflix "Watch Instantly"
I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream a movie over the internet. The selection of movies/shows is subpar, but it's free baby! Well, free as in no extra charge. You can watch 1 hour for every dollar/month your subscription is and it doesn't affect your queued/shipped movies at all. Minuses are that you have to be running Windows and Internet Explorer, but the quality is great! I have a garbage laptop, but it looks the same as a DVD to me and it hasn't skipped/paused/hiccuped once so far.
The Old Man Season 2 on 9/12/24.
Severance Season 2 not until 1/17/25.
The first part of season 6 Cobra Kai (5 episodes) was meh, just building up the next 2 parts really.
I take back what I said about the Ark after watching episode 1 of season 2, not really watchable, I must have been really bored last year when I watched season 1. lol
SWEEET!
Those about to die gladiator show with Anthony Hopkins out now
Land Of Bad is a pretty freaking great time!! Sort of an old school action flick in style and approach but with current tools.
And for a dumb romantic comedy, the new one with Harry Connick Jr ain’t a bad watch either. It’s called Find Me Falling.
Why, yes. I am running out of things to watch on Netflix…. Why do you ask?
Land Of Bad was surprisingly good. Good military process porn, if you like that kinda thing
Homicide: Life on the Street coming to streaming finally August 19 on peacock. I haven't really watched it in fifteen years so it's going to be a little more dated now but I remember the first two seasons being very good.
curious to hear back on it to see if it holds up, remember loving that show when it aired - even made richard belzer likable, a monumental task
Yeah, we'll see. They are converting to HD which should help.
On a side note, the book that it is based on absolutely holds up and is something I definitely recommend.
Probably my favorite network series OAT.
On a side note, I saw Belzer doing stand-up on my very first trip to LV. I think a year or two before the series began.
Just re-watched all of Black Sails
i think it might be on netflix i cont be sure
i have decided its one of my top 5 all time shows.
Black Sails is often overlooked. Fantastic show.
Excited to see the Homicide news. Less excited that it's coming to Peacock. Interesting that they don't even mention The Wire in that article.
Probably will subscribe just to binge the first four seasons. As I recall it falls off a bit after that.
I just finished it, it was ok, something to watch while browsing 2+2 and reddit.
Tenax was my favorite character, did not care about anyone else or what happens to them.
Finished it last night. Definitely agree, I don't regret watching it, but a very just 'ok' show. Don't think I'd bother with a second season if it gets one. Rather just rewatch Rome again.
Six Schizophrenic Brothers is okay but it could be whittled down to one or two episodes.
November 15th
Hell yeh, really loved Silo.
