[WSOP.com Nevada] Unofficial thread
Since WSOP locked their thread, why can't we have our own?
I have Windows 10, and it's basically everything you just said. I have all the extra animations turned off though. Also, opening notes on someone can cause the crash. As far as frequency, sometimes it seems about every 15 minutes. Sometimes, I can go for over an hour, but I'd say once or twice per hour is average for me. I can almost always log back in on time, but I did fold KK in a 4-bet pot the other day. I think my time bank was too low because of a previous crash. Not only is this super ann
Thanks for the windows 10 crash confirmation. And yes, I forgot to mention crashes get triggered when taking notes on players the further you are into a session, but you can make them upon returning from crash. So it seems both Windows (10/11) are affected. The software starts out stable and becomes less and less stable the more times goes by in your session. Followed by glitched out tables upon return, that again, become more unstable the longer you play. So damn frustrating.
How the hell does the cardstrike bonus work? Won a $100 bonus, and it's saying it's worth $5.13 upon completion? Can someone explain?

was it an old $100 bonus u didn't clear in time maybe?
The cardstrikes are bonuses that u have to clear, though they clear pretty fast so unless you're playing really low stakes, u probably should have cleared the $100.
Got it two days ago.. doesnt make sense
Has anyone here put in significant volume at 200PLO? If so do you think the pool is infested with colluders, or legit for the most part? Every time I play PLO I see the absolute fishiest lines that make no sense from either player unless they are either cheating or brain damaged.
Here is an example hand from this morning: ****.
For CO: What hand is stabbing 20% in a 2 SPR, only calling a minraise on the flop, and then shoving turn?
The line makes no sense from either player with any hand. The sizing push BTN/BB out of pot for the minimum, and then sb bet-folds turn to make the hand not go to showdown.
edit: I cropped out my name/stack, but my stack is relevant here. I cover the table, so me and sb are 250bb effective. Thus I can't really back raise or call not closing action even though the xr is only a half pot bet.
Hi guys, I tried to log into my account last night to find that it was "temporarily disabled" and that I've already been sent an email with the reason why. I called support this morning and the agent was very rude, stated he wasn't able to see the reason why account was disabled, and that there was no supervisor available to talk to me about the issue (they admitted the email actually wasn't sent when they said it was at around 9 AM, but still haven't sent anything after). There's over $25k+ in the account and to this point, they've provided zero information why they're withholding it with zero prior notice. Every single time I played, it was from my home computer under the same IP address, with zero use of friends or any other forms of assistance, although I am a statistician by profession and my results are above average on the site.
Anyone experience something similar? Because I don't see how in any jurisdiction, anyone should be able to take this much money from someone else and refuse to give even an explanation. This seems to be against their own TOS.

Can you share the email (with personal identifying info removed)? Your post here doesn't even share the reason WSOP banned you, so nobody will be able to provide insight without more info.
Or at the very least - what is WSOP's stated reason for suspending your account?

I've indicated my name below as X, although I don't mind sharing my personal information because I've never done anything against the rules of Online Poker since starting in 2002. I reached SNE on Stars in 2010 and have 5m+ on OPR as well dating back to the 2000's, never having anything go against my reputation in any poker community I belonged to. Anyway, the problem was that they didn't even send an email before disabling the account, and the error message stated "Your account is temporarily disabled and have already been sent an email." I checked my inbox and there was no email.
This morning, I called wsop.com support at 1-866-745-2385 and spoke to an agent who attempted to address my concerns. He said he wasn't able to view the reason why my account was disabled. When confronted with the question of why an email was never sent, he stated he'll check and have one sent asap. I asked if a supervisor can speak to me about this, I was put on hold for about 10 minutes then was told a supervisor was not available. I asked if the company was so incompetent that there's no supervision, he stated there were supervisors but they weren't available to speak about this one.
I followed up by email after the call to receive this response so far:

My email:
Hi Keisha,
The screenshot I'm looking at states an email stating why you guys are withholding $25,000+ of my money was ALREADY SENT, but it wasn't. I used to be employed by Caesars, have a background in law, and do not understand how in any legal jurisdiction, any online vendor is able to withhold this much money without properly dispatching a notice first. Please let me know if I can get my money and I'll decide how much to keep on the site based on you guys' lack of incompetence from here on. As is, $25,000+ was taken from me with zero notice whatsoever or any indication as to why I deserve this.
I expect a resolution by today because it's already been over 24+ hours, after 72+ hours I believe you guys would be in a worse position.
Best,

I'm level 1035 this month with 99% of my volume coming from plo 200.
I think the field is full of fish and can't imagine any type of cheating is going on with the level of play being so low so going by your assumption of cheating vs brain damaged, it would have to be the latter.
The board is extremely dry and in theory shouldn't really hit anyone's ranges in a squeezed pot but in reality we all know that a lot of these players can connected with 724r. A small sizing on the flop actually would make the most sense to me with an extremely strong hand like 7758, A445 etc and jamming over a raise there would probably look far too strong so flatting any raise makes the most sense.
I really don't know what your green tag means but I definitely have these guys all tagged 4 distinct colors from you. Without going into specifics of how I view each player, I'd say CO has at least 3 of a kind here and SB could easily have had 24xx here.

Jesus man, that is terrible. I have around 15k in here too. I wonder if this is just administrative incompetence and they will return the funds later. I don't have any advice, but can you please keep us posted on this?

Yes, can you edit the quote because I accidentally posted both my real name and screen name? It's likely administrative incompetence or a case of them picking on a non-famous person with a big balance. I'll post any updates I receive.

Thanks man, that is very encouraging to hear. My colors here don't mean much - I just reinstalled windows yesterday and lost all my notes.
Also, I will admit I am just learning PLO. I am a fulltime online holdem pro trying to up my game in PLO so I can play in some juicy live games.

I have had an instance where I tried to log in and it’s told me to contact support. I just had a feeling it must’ve been some bug.
I was able to log back in after 1-2 hours without any issues.
I'm wondering if this software works better with Windows 10 than Windows 11. Are there Windows 10 users who consistently get crashes?
I am running W10 on ancient MacBook Pro and it has been OK for 6 tables.
It is super slow to open new tables. I start to get random tables crashing if I try to play more than 6.

Just got a response, pretty much a standard "Nobody here appears to be responsible for this but I'm doing my job here." I remember my account migration from the old site took an eternity of followups too, which is hilarious considering pros from other countries were tweeting about how easy the new site was to set up. I'll share any further updates.

X, thank you for your kind response. Please note the funds in the amount of $X will remain on your WSOP.com NV Account Bankroll. With that said, please be advised, once our review is completed, we will update you of the status of your Account along with your funds via email.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing and we thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

This is wild - I don't see any stated accusation. Like they haven't suspected you of a VPN, RTA, collusion etc? They just froze the account without any stated reason? Is that correct?

It's likely due to documentation issues, is what I'm thinking now if they want me to send in other utility bills, etc. I would likely be the last person they'd accuse of VPN since I live on Las Vegas Blvd. and only play from home. Collusion or ghosting would be impossible because I'm in the room by myself when playing. RTA is the least unlikely out of those given my Statistics PhD background, but it was never used or even ever installed anywhere on the computer because I'm too lazy and because I do similar things for a living. I started with a ~1.5k downswing on the site too over the first few weeks before getting 1st/2nd/5th on the same night, but those were all hyper turbos and mostly boiled down to sucking out on flips.
So yes they froze the account without any stated reason, won't give me the reason no matter where I follow up, and continue to state that they will reach out soon.
I just tried calling wsop.com to see what happened to the "supervisor phone call" they stated would be happening at 9:07 AM PST. The new support guy said no supervisor became available today to call. I've heard/read some stories about wsop.com support but this has to be one of the most ridiculous ones. Anyone familiar with the gaming laws on this one? Access to account and $25k+ taken by force, and nobody the company puts on the phone can even state the general reason why within 24+ hours.
7 months of not being able to play online poker sucks (Due to work travel)... I'm assuming the PLO competition is still trash at $1/2 on WSOP according to Zefa's post.

i played some 50 PLO for fun and ran into an absurd spot. thought i screenshot it but couldnt find it
my plo knowledge is limited - i bought jnandez course but mainly just looked at preflop stuff but id say 15-20 hours of plo content studied and maybe 10k hands lifetime
anyways it was something like i open to $1.75, guy behind 3b to $5ish, guy behind him jams for like $13ish and the $5 guy folded.
not sure if they were colluding or just bad because even tho ima noob i know thats silly to fold there.
collusion / card sharing in PLO is definitely more rampant because youll see more multiway flops naturally so it blends in more -- where as in holdem its less normal to go multiway at least online

not related but Keisha C did send me a message about their cool off & self exclusion feature which is sort of funny because i logged a super long sesh albeit there was some breaks in between / playing on phone while doing other stuff for part of it. I wanted to readjust my sleep schedule so i could goto parx so i played from 1030pm and my last table game history was 530pm the next day lol
while it definitely does look absurd i still found it funny i got that messsage for basically giving them more rake --- while others are waiting for weeks to get a reply
i just assume the low level chat can only help so much, then any bigger issue goes to their higher ups that are swamped with cases
How do you guys even get the client to open? I just downloaded the new software and every time I try to open it, it just crashes my display driver and won't open.
It could be your virus software, try disabling it first and then download it and open it. Then you can turn it back on and shouldn't be an issue after that going forward.
For anyone still on the fence if the software has improved, it hasn’t. Had 11 shutdowns in 2.5 hrs only 6 tabling.
One of the more frustrating things is I’ve table started for years but it’s impossible currently with the constant restarts which seem to increase with more clicks (so no hu or 3h). Say you have 2 hrs to run a session, you have to jump on waitlists and all said and done ur getting like .75 table hours. Not a very favorable situation for both recs or pros.

I did do one more thing about this last night which was to speak with Nevada Gaming Commission's Cybergaming Department. The agent told me the level of complaints about wsop.com support got so bad that they now have an agent exclusively handling wsop.com cases. I asked him if this stuff was regulated, and he said it sort of was. I also asked if they were allowed to just freeze the account and $25k+ while refusing to give any information on it for 24+ hours, he said he doesn't have the rulebook in front of him but it doesn't sound legal what they're doing.
So apparently they'll talk to wsop.com and have updates for me by Wednesday. He said a lawsuit is also an option if they don't respond or do not give a satisfactory response. Given that I can swear I never broke any rules or did anything shady to warrant this, I would strongly advise anyone who has a sizeable balance to reconsider keeping this much money on the site unless you're on TV and Keisha C. watched you on there already.
I'll talk to wsop.com support tomorrow when I can get a break from work and report back.
