Netflix "Watch Instantly"
I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream a movie over the internet. The selection of movies/shows is subpar, but it's free baby! Well, free as in no extra charge. You can watch 1 hour for every dollar/month your subscription is and it doesn't affect your queued/shipped movies at all. Minuses are that you have to be running Windows and Internet Explorer, but the quality is great! I have a garbage laptop, but it looks the same as a DVD to me and it hasn't skipped/paused/hiccuped once so far.
Land of Bad: Pretty good. Not Oscar worthy obviously but suspenseful/entertaining/action packed.
The Long Game: true story about some Mexicanos on a high school golf team in 1950s Texas (and obviously getting discriminated against). Kinda sappy/cliche. But watchable.
Hate to Love: Nickelback: Meh. I did always wonder why they were so hated. I was never a fan, nor a hater. Watchable I guess.

some mexicans.......................i guess u dont like any of em
It's going to be so good. The events of this are right after The Batman and after this Colin will be in The Batman 2 picking up with events right after this show. Not until 2026 though. lol
Sounds like a Bill Burr skit.
Anyone else see German spy/assassin show Kleo? It's a Killing Eve-like, irreverent, fun and crazy ride. Kleo is an East German assassin who must deal with the fall of the Berlin Wall while she seeks vengeance against those who betrayed her. There's also Sven, the West German cop who is tracking her, and later, becomes her partner in their search for the show's McGuffin.
Great fun.
Dom, Kleo season 2 is out
Nickleback’s doc was pretty alright. I only know of like 3 or 4 songs by them and I’m not sure I’d know if I wasn’t told. So I never had any hate towards them at all, but… I get it lol
Also, not Netflix, but streaming, the show My Lady Jane was fun. I was told it was profane and racy but it’s really not. Just a handful of curse words in the 1400’s that make it seem that way. Hope there is a season 2.
Speaking of overrated boy bands, Dirty Pop about Lou Pearlman was interesting.
Had no idea all of those bands were connected and created by the same man, who was also running massive Ponzi.
That one is next on the list. I knew the dude that ran “The Pop Academy” at Musicians Institute (shared space, not students) before it became that and he was the spitting image and attitude of Lou Pearlman. He was trying to do the same thing but thankfully didn’t. His claim to fame was “discovering” Christina Aguilera, when he only saw her at a talent show before she was on Disney. He ate off that for years and due to his size, he ate well.
Sounds like a Bill Burr skit.
that whole special is just phenomenal.
i wonder if there is something about the red hair gene cuz the 2 best stand up comedians of all time louis ck and bill burr both gingers.
tim minchin isn't a GOAT but he's pretty damn funny and I'm just gonna go ahead and make patrice o'neal a ginger since he was burrs BFF.

If you like docs about the music industry check out Supermench. I don't know if there is any part of today's pop world he hasn't touched. It's an amazing doc but I think you need to have the mindset that his stories may be embellished or somewhat fabricated - although a good number of them are certainly true. Mike Meyers credits him with saving his career and he created the doc as a sort of tribute to him.
Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds interesting. I'll check it out.
Supermench is awesome!
I thought 'Tell them you love me' was fascinating. Crazy what some people are capable of, in this case in a bad way.

I thought it was quite interesting but very poorly done.
He put the bands in a bad deal and siphoned a ton of money from them, that was all a fascinating story. Then they just randomly drop in episode 3 that he's running a ponzi. He owned a big house.
Where did all the money go?
it is Aug 2... Netflix should be releasing the R rated version of Rebel Moon.
Joe Rogan: Burn the Boats
Awful
On a scale of Gringo Papi to Sledgehammer, just how bad?
As insanely infuriated as I am with Naughty Dog, I will never not adore The Last Of Us. And that trailer gave some chills! So much of that was exactly like the game! I don’t want to spoil by getting specific, but they nailed every bit from what I could see.
