House of the Dragon: Targaryens Still Fighting Over The Most Metal Chair
you're probably not gonna believe this, but ~200 years before GoT there was a bunch of Targaryens battling over who shou
oh and tully kid the real mvp. i hope he keeps being a boss character and they don't just kill him next ep or something
Laenor feels like a concluded story to me.
He wanted to bang dudes in Essos and is probably having a great time not worrying about the politics he never cared for.
Rhaenyra in her quest to find more riders:
Some of you may die, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
I've completed a rewatch and it is 100% better than GOT s7/8. No doubt about that because I want to watch them again eventually while I will never watch 7/8.
Actress playing Rhaenyra deserves an Emmy for her facial expressions.
yeah could be. it's just awkward because it's a hard thing to confirm/deny in-show
and -ev to throw away a cool dragonrider character, especially how they left it with him wanting to redeem himself
and the fan service-y way this show has operated i could def see him making a dramatic return to help team black when they need him the most, claiming a new dragon. or maybe getting seasmoke back if adam dies

i have many issues with hotd, but it's def way better than got post season 4

think she's my least favourite of the main cast lol, but maybe it's the writing putting her in a tough spot. i just hate the whiny tone that she has almost always, so aggravating
at this point i'd lol pretty hard if they kept blueballing us and there was no big battle in the finale, instead they call timeout and talk about it some more
ahahahahahahahahaahaaa
yes, YES
season 2 sucked ass
think i hate rhaenyra more than any character in got history
she's somehow even dumber, more entitled and more annoying than cersei. quite an achievement
when they cut he season from 10 eps to 8, did they just make zero adjustments and lop off the last 2 ??? honestly seems like maybe yeah
lol garbage finale
lol garbage show
I liked the episode until I paused and saw there was like 4 mins left.
Definitely missing a big moment.
Got/HOTD finales need to have 1 big scene!
I didnt realize that was the finale until I googled about Otto afterwards. but that is him in jail or something at the end. not sure what happened there.
yeah, looked like otto in a cell of some sort. he was probably headed to highgarden or oldtown, and the only thing we've heard out of the reach was that the beesburys were mad that criston killed the old man, so if i had to guess i'd say they scooped him up on his travels, but who knows. also possible that the tyrells arrested him, or something else entirely.
Don't think we are meant to know who has Otto locked up at this point.
Most likely those Bees people.
Or maybe Larys!
Someone on Twitter tweeted out "Did I just watch a 90 minute trailer for season 3?!" That honestly feels like the best take Ive seen on the finale. Felt like it was setting up for an epic E9 and then a cleanup E10 setting up for season 3. Instead, they just skipped the last two episodes.

I saw another that said it was an 8 episode trailer.
I still liked the show but I seem to be in the minority. I am disappointed because I though it had a lot of early momentum to be surpass GOT, but that is highly doubtful now.
The critiques of a lackluster finale are all very justified. Really felt like an 8th episode for a 10 episode seasonal arc, would have been a perfect epic setup.
Oh well, 2 more seasons. Probably getting it in 2027 and 2030.
Was seeing somewhere that it was supposed to be a 10 episode season but the writers strike made them do 8 while not being able to edit anything during live shoots.
I'm happy with where the story is now.
Been a fun ride.

that's because it was the 8th episode of a 10 episode seasonal arc.
Yeah that really pisses me off as a viewer
Does that mean episodes 1 and 2 of S3 are going to be absolute bangers?
at first I thought so but after reading again I feel like they just cut random scenes from different eps and made a boring frankenstein's monster.
kind of re-stating what was already said, but seeing more confirmation that a month before filming started season 2 got cut from 10 episodes to 8, and they were already 3 months into the writer's strike, so yeah ... they literally just chopped off the last 2 eps. they couldn't do anything else with ~no writers, and didn't really have the time anyway. insane
i would expect so. lots of time to re-write now i guess, but i assume that s3e1/2 will essentially be s2e9/10
