to be clear, i think it's disgusting that this male is able to compete vs females. i wasn't even aware that this was going to happen. at any level of competitive physical sports, a person born male should never be able to compete vs females
secondly, regarding the majority of RUS athletes not being able to compete, for me that is a clear and obvious ruling. i would have also been fine, for example, w USA#1 athletes being barred for the 2004 Athens games (and subsequent summer and winter Olympics)

I actually did research before I made the post. Competition obviously was not near what it was then. Numerous people who actually know gymnastics say she is the GOAT with the only discipline she probably isn't is on the beam. Add in the fact that she has more medals than anyone in modern history for the Olympics and she basically didn't even compete in Tokyo.
She also has 5 eponymous moves. Latynina competed in a much easier era and apparently the **** they were doing then is very routine now. No one with actual gymnastics knowledge thinks she is the GOAT. I mean it's not hard to find many people calling Simone the GOAT when the Tokyo Olympics were going on.

School was awful and I always knew I didn't need to pay attention. Myself I bypassed all that "get a white collar job" nonsense. good grief... boring. In 7th grade, I actually do remember hearing of a condition you could get if you had XY chromosomes, illness was called being a man.
