using the excuse, "well I was drunk" is almost always a really bad look and not even a good excuse. but RFK is saying "well I was ofc sober but my friends were drunk" as an excuse.

Others that were drunk came up with the idea and me, the sober one, agreed it was a fantastic idea is not really helping.

In a normal election market crashing like this would imply lower chances for the Dems, but these aren't normal elections, Dems chances weren't appropriate given the fundamentals before as explained, so I think people are entrenched in their political preferences no matter events and impervious to change more than usual this time
