Keep checking, your hand is middling.

i think we can bet turn more frequently than theory suggests, just don't see villains trapping enough

I don't mind betting IP as long as we have an easy fold button if x/r comes through. It's fairly obv that we are betting the flush card since we didn't cbet. I guess it's possible that we slow-played the Flop, but uncommon in PLO, eh?

T is not the nuts .. flush is not the nuts .. all 2pr outs complete the straight for other potential holdings. Not the best spot if the pot gets too big.

I think you 'need' to play these kinds of hands out if you feel that you're going to have a long or regular sessions against V. Both Q/J of flush are possible in V holding, so there's some hope for getting paid when it hits .. might as well get some chips in there. GL

For me it's the worst possible hand to bet. What does a bet with this hand accomplish? Sometimes some value, but not often.

I think you should bet this turn - some value to be had against pair+draw, deny equity vs worse hands, and even vs a bare Qx we're in ok shape.

Thanks for everyone's replies. I bet 1/2 pot, villain folded, but in hindsight this is a pretty easy xb ott. Pretty sure I was just clicking buttons because I picked up equity.

Seems like our hand is too strong to bet ott with the intention of bluffing otr to fold out Qx

Yep. Villain should never fold Qx and we are denying equity from what hands exactly? Getting raised is a disaster.

I don't think this should be a 3bet preflop either - I think it is clearly in the calling range. I also agree this is a clear check back for all the reasons amok said.

Check at high stakes, bet at low stakes

Check at high stakes, bet at low stakes

This.

Notes on player tendencies and opening ranges can help here. Do they open wide preflop? If so then you can possibly get worse to call like 5678, JT98, 99TT, 6677, A567 with any diamonds.

Are they tight and trappy?
If so then I’d lean towards checking as I would hate to BF with our equity.

3B I don’t mind unless they’re very tight then I would mean more towards 3Betting KJT9ds instead.

I made a video a couple weeks ago that can possibly help you in spots like this that go over how to adjust towards all player types by using the strategies I just went over. I also release a video every 3 days to help you improve in all types of ways. I hope it helps!
