MonkerSolver
This is the support thread for MonkerSolver, a hold'em and Omaha nash equilibrium solver.
Need help! Why my monkersolver bet 50% frequency is 0 in this board, and always bet pot in almost all 3bet pots, like a simplify strategy, but I never lock strategy. Where I got wrong
Can someone rent a Monkersolver license for 1-2 months (It's for 2 computers anyway)? Message me here thanks
When you click on "CALL" or "x%" box in range viewer it shows you a compilation of that range in 13x13 matrix.
However I find PIOsolvers way of showing ranges in this 13x13 matrix more useful for trying to learn them and get intuitive grasp of what the holistic big picture looks like.
I.e. one box of 13x13 matrix is divided between colors (red for raise, green for call, blue for fold – just like GTOwizard does also) and in PIO you can even see approximate %s for each actions.
Is it possible to get this kind of view somehow from Monkersolver? Tried copying the ranges to PIOsolver but the syntax is different and it doesn't understand them.
Hi guys, is there any possibility to run 5 card on Monkersolver? thnx
I've been importing flop sims from plo trainer and running my own turn and river ones. Sometimes when I put in a specific hand into the filter it doesn't show up does anyone know why that would happen?
Hi all,
Does anyone have any suggestions for settings for 100bb 6 and 3 max cash games (if there are any differences between the two)?
Mine are just default at the moment.
Thanks!
Hey! Maybe someone who has the solver on a remoted server wants to share costs/rent it out to me. Hit me in PM or telegram @bananajem
Hi,
I want to deactivate my license on my current computer is there anyway to do this on my own? I've emailed monkerware support and they haven't gotten back to me yet just curious, Thanks!
Hi, I tried to create account but never get verification email
hi, ok maybe i understand why it's 1200mchip: 3$ in a NL 2.5/5$ game is 0.6 bb or 1.2 sb, that's why it's set 1200mchip.
The problem that arises is that by adding and subtracting the EVs for each position, we arrive at a net of -13.5 bb/100, which is an extremely high value of rake paid at the level for a theoretically correct game. the sim is extremely accurate, so i exclude that it's due to that. can someone help me to understand if there is something wrong in the reasoning? thank you very much for the help.
Still available to run custom monkersolver sims at a fair price (much cheaper than monkerguy). Hit me up on telegram @danypoker
I'm available to run all sorts of sims or offer other type of support for people that need it, hit me up in a DM.
Views
Has anyone had much luck making a View for Omaha or O8 in Monkersolver. I tried using the "example" and the filters must assume you can use all the cards in your hand. Also looking for any syntax that can tell us our betting frequency we have a Nut low draw. I did find some expanded syntax from Monker but decoding how it can be used for a Veiw is frustrating. If anyone is interested in trying to make Veiws PM me and maybe we can work together to make something that we can share on the forum.
Expanded syntax
The syntax to describe hands in MonkerSolver is PPT syntax. This is described here.
MonkerSolver expands the syntax to better be able to describe hands in conjuction with board cards.
#n1 Two holecards which loses to no other hand.
#n2 Two holecards which only loses to hands in #n1.
...
#n9 Two holecards which only loses to hands in #n1-n8.
#na Two holecards which only loses to hands in #n1-n9.
...
#nf Two holecards which only loses to hands in #n1-ne.
#b1 The rank of the top paired board card.
#b2 The rank of the 2nd paired board card.
#c The rank of board trips or quads.
£ The suit of the flush suit (3 or more on the board).
^ The suit of the flush draw on the flop (exactly 2 on the flop). This will still refer to the same suit even if it no longer is a draw on the turn/river.
~ The suit of the backdoor flush draw (exactly 1 on the flop and 2 on the turn).
#£1 The highest flush card possible on the board.
#£9 The 9th highest flush card possible on the board.
#1 The rank of the highest unpaired board card.
#5 The rank of the 5th highest unpaired board card.
#0 The rank above the highest board card's rank.
#s1 The rank of the highest holecard straight card. Example: #s1#s2 to refer to the top straight.
#s8 The rank of the 8th highest holecard straight card.
#sf1 The rank of the highest holecard straight flush card.
#sf4 The rank of the 4th highest holecard straight flush card.
syntax_x Two holecards that block atleast x% of the hands in the syntax. Examples: AA_50, (#n1,#n2)_35

Some extended syntax that I have found that work.
Nut Flush Draw
#^1
Nut Backdoor Flush draw (only works on forth street)
#~1
Quads
#b1#b1,#b2#b2 (since we cant make quads with less than two cards in our hand there is no #c designation for omaha)
Top set
#1#1
2nd set
#2#2
Low set
#3#3,#4#4,#5#5
Top two pair
#1#2
Good two pair
#1#3,#1#4,#1#5
Two pair
#2#3,#2#4,#2#5,#3#4,#3#5,#4#5
I really don't understand what this Full house syntax claims to do. Must only work when using strategy in simulation
Full house
?b([#b1,#b2][#1,#2,#3],#1#1,#2#2,#3#3),?c(rr,#1,#2)
Still can't figure out what if any low draw syntax there is.
Here is what I got for an Omaha Full House filter:
?b(#1#1,#2#2,#3#3),(#b1,#b2) : (#1,#2,#3),?c(NN)
?b(#1#1,#2#2,#3#3) this part is asking "is there a pair on board? if there is than do we have trips with the other three ranks
(#b1,#b2) : (#1,#2,#3) this is do we have trips and if so, do we also have a pair
?c(NN) this last one is there trips or better on board and if so do we have a pair in hand.
Hi,
I just bought Monkersolver, for PLO, but can't make it work.
First thing, I'd like to know if I need to buy any PLO sims or ranges
All I need for the moment is to know how to react in some situations like:
. BU vs an UTG 10% RFI (rather than 16%)
. BU vs an UTG 5% RFI (rather than 16%)
. UTG vs a 4% 3bet (4%) (rather than 8%)
. BU vs SB 5% 3bet (rather than 11%)
What do I need for locking thoses situations?
Thanks in advance for you help and answer
Jorge
Hello,
Couldn't find anything searching the forums, has anyone been able to figure out how to use the Custom Rake settings on monkersolver? Any help or tips appreciated!

Is there any way to export preflop ranges from MonkerViewer in a format that could be copied into PIO, Flopzilla, PokerStove, etc? I've been manually inputting them whenever I want to use another tool like an early 2000s peasant.
Do I need the full version to view a tree?
I have a tree someone built that I just want to look at, I don't need to run anything, just look through sizes and options.
Hi all!
I am thinking about buying Monker Solver but I am wondering if it is dead. This because Monkerware last activity here was in 2017 and they are not answering emails, the only contact option they have at their site.
Are they doing updates? I wonder too because of the following:
Does anyone know if it is possible to nodelock postflop frequencies (like seen here
The video maker gave the impression the feature might not be totally functional at the time, so I wonder...
And can Monker Solver account for JackpotBadbeat fees, like it does for rake? Or anyone knows how can one account for it?
Thanks in advance for the response of anyone who feels Monker Solver is alive, or not!
If you need to solve NLHE then HRC is a way better option right now. It's actively maintained, has more features and a better interface.
Postflop nodelock for preflop sims is still only a theoretical possibility since there's already a layer of abstraction (game isn't represented perfectly but with texturing or buckets). So you can lock a frequency but not what's inside the frequency.

Thank you for the information Dromz and dial.
If there are more, keep them coming!
