Now Calgary can get some concerts again . The current Saddledome design always caused an issue for bands rigging up their sets/lighting. So many acts skipped Calgary and did Edmonton, Vancouver

There’s no real outrage…everyone is upset now, but as long as nothing else bad happens people will stop caring, especially if he does well. Now if they don’t do well people will be like “how about this time we don’t hire some scumbag who covered up sexual assault”. Pretty much the extent of it. It’s an old boys network…who protect people who abused young boys.
loilers seem addicted to bringing in scumbags, seems very intentional at this point. so if you're a murderer, rapist, racist, woman-beater, whatever give em a call because they want you. at this point i assume they're gonna go out of their way to pick up as many of those team canada world junior rapists as they can to make some kind of point
None of the first-round draft picks Bowman made in his first 10 years with the Blackhawks remain on the roster. He received little value for the good players he traded away. If he steered the team through three championships, they were won by a core in place before he took the job, a core he probably failed to maximize. In the season when Bowman resigned, the Blackhawks finished 28-42-12.

pro move is to be like me and just pick a name and stick with, in this case: (new) saddledome. it probably won't have a "saddle" roof, but idc. flames play at the saddledome.

Happy Leafs signed Dewar! See more of him now and see if he can do some good things. Pretty quiet as summer but come back in September when everyone talks about what goal song the Leafs should use. :P

Press conference scheduled for Wednesday morning from the Leafs where it is expected that Auston Matthews will be named the new Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs replacing John Tavares.
St Louis offer sheeting Broberg and Holloway from the Oilers.
This is kind of a big deal - those are two pieces the Oilers expected to be able to plug in and be productive and cheap next year. Losing one or both is going to be a real issue, and keeping one or both is going to be a real problem with contract renewals for Draisaitl, Bouchard, and McDavid all on the agenda.

Compensation due is a third-round pick for Holloway and a second-round pick for Broberg
and the compensation is lol so you kind of have to match. would be pretty insulting to lose them for basically nothing
I'm supposed to be getting jonesed up because football season is about to start. Which I am to an extent, but the real fun starts in less than 2 months!

Part of the reason fans get so upset that other teams don't use offer sheets more especially against their main competition. I can't imagine why a team like Calgary wouldn't have done this - hurts a division rival, they have plenty of cap space, and adding to their prospects is the perfect thing for them to do, plus the fan base would absolutely love it.
Just reiterates how in a sport where you're expected to put the team above individual at all times, GMs are somehow exempt.
