I see they are doing a set of mixed events during this series. While great, and rare to see at many series/casinos, I wish the price points were slightly lower.

It’s most likely the nit in me, but each of the mixed events are $500 or more. It would be nice to see a casino one day offer a set of lower buy in mixed events ($120-$300 for example), so as to possibly draw folks who might not otherwise feel comfortable playing their first non-NL event for $500+.

Sort of something to wet the appetites of poker players who might otherwise feel intimidated to try a poker variant they are not entirely comfortable playing yet.

I played some of the Razz and HORSE tournament for lower buy-ins back when PH had their Goliath series and had a blast.

Again, this is most likely me being nitty, but just food for thought.

Looking forward to this. I played two events at the SPO in May and Borgata did a great job running the tournaments. (Trying to get chips for cash games was another story...) Planning to play up to 3 flights of the $800 Kick Off Deep Stack and at least one other event.

This seems like a good idea to me. $120 feels a little low compared to the buy-in range of the rest of the events, but some events in the $200-$300 range might be a nice balance.

I concur with a lower buy in mixed event. I really would like to play a live mixed event but probably wouldn't do a $500. $200-300 would be great to see.

Plan to play the almighty myself. Did back in January and was run well. Glad to see Borgata series multiple times a year again.

Borgata use to run 4 -5 similar big series 4-5 time a year .

I think finally they are getting normal after covid now .

Borgata Winter Open - Normally in January
Borgata Spring Open - Normally in April
Borgata Summer Open - Normally in July
Borgata WPT Open. - Normally in September
Borgata Fall Open - Normally in November.
And 3 - 4 smaller events like deepstake challenge etc

I will say though - if you look at previous/current Borgata events, $200 events are usually $150+$50 (most of the time) or $160+$40 at best. $500 events have a much more reasonable rake %. So even if $500 is a relatively high price point for you, it might be better to save up money and play such an event once or twice a year rather than play a bunch of lower buy in events, where you get raked to death?

High rake on the main event of 3100+400. 300 is standard this is a major increase from pre-covid. its weird b/c all the other events rake looks reasonable
