That's the implication. Hur being a republican doens't mean the DOJ is independent. The terrorist having being registered as a republican doesn't mean that people who talked like Trump was a demon from the left don't bear any moral responsibility for when someone actually takes them at their words.
The point is that Hur's report is no support at all for the proposition that the DOJ has lacked independence under the Biden administration.
