$50 ante double board bomb pots 5.2k nut straight on wet board and lots of mediocre other stuff
$50 plo double board home game, 5.2k effective. 8c7c6d5d
Flop $450,

9 handed hero X EP, X, X, whale covers $200, whale calls $200 with ~1.5k-2k, pro calls $200 (covers), tight passive fish calls $200, hero calls $200, reg jams 1.2k, 2 whales call, pro calls, fish folds, some folds in between, hero 5k behind. Hero?
We have nut straight on one board but it is quarterable, and we don't have the heart redraw on that board or a higher straight draw, like T86 or 86 with hearts. Also we have bottom two and low diamonds on the other board. We also have a middling open ender on the bottom board but it is very dominated but better draws. I was confused as to whether I should call, jam, or fold.

Jam is fine but I think call is better. I don’t mind letting turns peel off so we can stack off more happily or get away on bad turns. I doubt anyone is folding so we are not going to clean up equity by shipping.
I’m not sure how we are doing against draws but we are sometimes behind them equity wise.
PS I wouldn’t fault you for folding :O
Seems like a clear raise to the first bet +all the flats initially.
I was worried about one or more other players having 86 + players having hearts or high wraps. Not expecting bottom 2 on both boards to be super helpful except that I guess we have more equity to prevent 99 from boating up. Even our open ender with 86 isn't amazing since there are higher draws possible on those boards and if other players have 86, we have less scoop potential.
77 and 55 are not even possible, so only TT and 99 are even possible. Two pair on either board likelihood also reduced.
When no one reports after the 1.2k stack jammed, I think that reduced the likilihood of 86 + strong redraws. And now our jam is less than pot, so it seems like we don't have as much to worry about as far as playability on turns and rivers where the nuts can change and we won't be sure who is playing what board. Maybe we can even get someone to fold draws that might clean up our equity.
The very vulnerable nuts which can be quartered now and very non-nutted draws on another board seem like hands we don't want to be playing for stacks 5 ways for multiple streets, but as the SPR gets to be less than 1 now it seems like it might be good enough to go with.
But I still wasn't sure if folding should be on the table.
I guess there could be an argument that we can call flop and fold bad turns, maybe lead jam good turns with more equity?
I think I have an easy fold with naked 86 without the bottom 2 and diamond draw. Backdoor clubs also count for something. But I also have the feeling that the diamond draw and 2 pair are themselves very devalued this multiway.
That's a very strong connection with both boards. Easy jam.
I Think I raise the first $200. As played, just gii or fold.
it's kind of unclear who you're still deep with... at least you're deep with one of the whales right. I would just get it in, a lot of hearts may be dead... I don't know what more you could want with this hand...
Very curious to the results
Reveal, I jammed, everyone calls. I chop with pro who has TT. Whale 1 had Q high hearts, whale 2 claims nut diamonds. I was losing to T6 and JT on the board where I flopped the nuts, but no one had it. I actually found the case 7 on the other board but still lost to TT.
I must have had whale 2's stack size a little off I ended up with 10.3k after the hand.
For hand histories its much easier to summarize the stack sizes before the action.
Hero's line is OK overall. Villain bet-sizing puts you in an awkward spot, 40% psb really not a thing on these board textures, but Hero's hand is is hesitant to play for stacks on the flop and can safely give up many turns.
I might consider a smaller raise-size on flop, such as 500-750 to clean up equity, allow villain to re-open action and let Hero put in a big bet on turn when action stays multi-way.
i agree with others who are more inclined to raise the initial 200 when it gets back to you.
your 2p + FD are all blockers with this action, so you would really prefer to put pressure on other diamond draws and non-nut hands that have a ton of equity against you. getting it down to hu or 3 ways where you are the only diamond draw is a huge win, equity-wise.
as played, i think gii is fine but it's pretty close.
