Bumping for new page.
What I'm struggling with most is why "trumpeter" and not just "trumpet". There aren't any obvious people-type words available, so I doubt it's that.
My rule is, if you think a word is excluded because you think there would be an even BETTER clue, but you don't know what word should replace it, then the simplest solution is the way to go.
So if not swing, then what?
When I see 'trumpeter' my first thought is 'swan' so much so I looked for swan on the list first thing.
Bugle being ours and wake NOT would eliminate some obvious clues.
Trumpet could point to tube. Trumpeter keeps the musical/sound angle while avoiding pointing to tube.
