2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
I’ve done it in best ball, so why not managed? Haha
I don’t think it’s bad. Just high variance.

Couldn’t get myself to reach on rb so ended up 0rb, which given my wr bench was a mistake

Can you trade in ypls?
Yeah
Just trade your bench wrs for rb upgrades and your good to go
There’s some production in that group, but could be frustrating deciding which 2 to start.
Solid team. Definitely tough to adjust out of that best ball zero RB mindset. Going to have to plan out my Yahoo redraft, especially since it’s only 8 teams.
Flock pick 1.
I didn't intend on taking 3 TE's but all three fell past ADP and all three correlated. My WR's are a bit sketch.
I went with Bryce over Carr. Carr would have completed a week 17 game stack but I feel like Bryce has more upside. I'm terrified of that NO offensive line. I should have grabbed Aiyuk over Olave.
I felt compelled to grab Dotson for the Hurts stack. Maybe he has some contingency value. Hopefully I can get something out of my final four dudes.
QB) Hurts, Bryce
RB) CMC, Kyren, Ekeler, Irving, Estime
WR) Olave, Worthy, D Johnson, Watson, Dotson, M Wilson, Tolbert, R Wilson
TE) Ferguson, Bowers, Goedert
Oh no, AD is about to steam. Sigh.
Na
It looks like this Badge Bros contest is using the same ADP as contests like BBM, The Puppy, etc.
Not sure how much of an impact it will have on the average, but I’ve seen some crazy **** so far. So some ADPs could get wonky.
It’s all about relativity and opportunity cost.
The QB1 will likely score more points than any other player, but unless it’s superflex, you only need to start 1. You can find solid starters who can still provide enough points later in the draft.
You need to start multiple RBs and WRs each week. And the top RBs and WRs are so much better than the middling and low end players. So in a 1QB nonTEP league, you want to take both of these positions in the top rounds.
TE is mostly devalued since that po
thanks tarheels!
I'm pretty excited/terrified. my league is 10k buy in, and I never played before. but it's a pretty soft field(I hope). the guy I was talking to today didn't know breece hall was a first round pick. and I think he's one of the better players in our home game/league... whatever you call it. fantasy league?
I've been studying a lot, and trying to learn. mostly just watching fantasy pros youtube, and doing mock drafts.
we randed for draft order today, and I got 11th fml :(

That’s a lot of money for your first time !!
Picking 11th isn’t so bad depending on how aggressive you are.
In my opinion picking 11th you have to be a little more aggressive in terms of drafting players you want especially if you are working a team stack. You can really set up your QB WR stacks picking so close together on the turn arounds.
You still have options:
You can have a Gibbs/Garrett Wilson with your first 2
Or maybe go hero RB Gibbs/barkley/henry/taylor any of these 2.
Zero rb could look like Wilson/mjh or you might even snag AJ Brown.
Picking 11th isn’t the end of the world.
Good luck!
thanks guys! I really appreciate your help! I need it! lol
and stacks, means like getting QB and WR on the same team, right?
and the reason to do that is to increase variance, right? cuz no reason to finish 4th place. go for first or last
there is a 2k last place penalty, but stupid to worry about that. gotta go for first
PAYOUTS:
1st place: 62k
2nd place: 30k
3rd place: 20k
Regular season most points: 10k
Last place penalty: 2k
my annual expenses are 40k lmao
oh yeah, if/when I lose i'll be ok. thanks!
I live well below my means

You are correct - Stacks are grabbing the QB along with their WR/TE/RB. Although I guess you can stack a WR/TE/RB combo if you miss out on the QB.
As far as variance stacking players from a high scoring team can be a winning strategy but one bad week, injuries or a bad match up during fantasy playoffs can wreck the whole thing.
For example: The Lions this year is projected to be a high scoring team but week 17 or championship week, they’re playing the 49ers on the road (projected to be a very good defensive team) so maybe a low scoring week for you which is bad (although just getting to the championship game is good enough and I will take my chances).
Good luck on your season!
Why does Lloyd keep free falling? He pulled his hamstring almost 2 weeks ago.
Hit mid to late round 16 in both Flocks I just did. I took him at 190.
Anybody got intell on Mack hollins ? Could be a nice target in best ball for the bills ?
