I'm on a Princess cruise. I'm not a cruise expert and this is my first experience wearing the tracking device. But I'm pretty impressed. It auto locks/unlocks your door. You can also locate anyone in your party. But the coolest part is that you can order food or drinks in the app anywhere on the boat and they will find you and bring it to you.

Damn you Big Brother, but I like it!

As an aside, my daughter wondered what happens if you throw the tracker overboard... I told her you'll get to feel the boat hit the brakes. wwwww

I ordered drinks in the app while sitting in the corner of a closed bar that had people rehearsing in. The dude found me but took a bit of time. When he found us, he said it was his 5th day on the job. lol

the one cruise I went on had a crazy thing going on where there was a servant class, mostly people from the Philippines, probably making like 2 dollars an hour. and they were mostly kept out of sight.

then there was like a higher tier of servant class, white people, who were in sight(tour leader, concierge, bartender) these workers were a mix of nationalities and ethnicity. but all the white people I saw were in the higher paid tier.

the officers on the ship(captain, first mate or whatever) were all white. and the crew were not.

many(most) of the performers/artists on the ship were white

just really insane and ****ed up

Cruises just do not appeal to me at all.

When I travel, I want fun experiences unique to that place.

That was the 1st week before the cruise. 😀

But you're right, cruises only give you a small taste of anywhere.

However, I also like the relaxed fine dining, casual drinks, shows at night combined with the morning/afternoon walking around and exploring a new city everyday.

Starlink internet is crazy good on this ship. 2500 people and the ship internet is smooth and fast.

I guess that's the thing that appeals to me the least.

I'd much rather spend a few days and feel like I saw/did enough without rushing.
