2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Got the 666 start for WR byes.
Got sniped on Goff.
From 1.11
QB - Mahomes, Nix
RB - Gibbs, Javonte, Moss, Corum, Davis, Roschon
WR - Puka, Rice, Worthy, Ridley, Jamo, AD, Mimis, Roman, Franklin
TE - Bowers, Conklin, Dulcich
Did I miss something on Schultz?
I swear he's going 2-3 rounds early in every draft I'm in lately.
Is anyone else like me and take account daily fantasy where some guys are usually 3k or 5k start off as values and go on a run ??
CJ and Cade are boys from OSU. And the Texans were thrilled when they were able to draft Cade.
Well I believed in Goff my first year playing best ball he was going rd 16 n beyond back then when amon was a second year player .. my value for this year Russell Wilson everybody drafting fields with mike Tomlin he’s liable to never see a snap unless as a gadget ala kordell slash Stewart
Meanwhile Wilson is a fit for Arthur smith’s offense and if the line can improve over seasons time I easily see 24-29 td including some rushing tds ala Ryan tannehill
I think Wilson will max out at maybe 23 TD's if he plays the whole year. I don't think he plays the whole year. He is one of those "What do you win when you take him?" type of picks. I'm betting on Fields getting in there at some point. I only have 6.6% of him and I wish I had more. He was steamed up for a bit but now he is falling back to basically free territory. If I waited on QB I will add Fields to give me some upside at the position. He's a guy I'll add when I have a luxury pick available.
My original plan was to get in about 75 BBM's. Then I heard how preposterous the week 17 advance rate was..... 2/12 1/13 1/16...You might as well play the lotto(Exaggeration). I did 8 BBM's early on. I'm feeling a lot more solid on my player takes right now so I'm thinking of maybe doing a few more. If I did 12 more and got my final number up to 20 BBM's would that be a waste? Unfortunately there aren't enough contests where you actually have a chance to win like the Flock...1/12 1/2 1/2.

I believe we're in the same draft on DK, right now.
Don't snipe me 😀

Gotta also remember mike tomlin isn’t the only one who went after Wilson , he also had tj watt n minkah recruit him . FYI if he wasn’t cut with that massive contract I can bet the farm he woulda commanded more money on the open market n would possibly be a raider right now ..
Drafted I think a good team, but not the most exciting/high upside
Qb - Hurts, Bryce
Rb - CMC, Jones, Gus, Zeke, B Allen
Wr - Aiyuk, D Smith, Worthy, Diontae, Palmer, Mooney, McMillan, LMC, Bourne
Te - Engram, Goedert

To start with rb and still grab a strong qb and te was great and if Gus zeke can give you some decent starts running back corp is set
I like mooney as in dfs he’s going be someone to take a flier on in a few weeks LMC I feel will leapfrog dyani brown you just need to find a consistent producer at wr

It's a solid well balanced squad.
Why does Goedert fall so much? He is the last of the established good TE's I'd think he would be snagged up quicker.

I've been trying a new approach that I'm liking so far. Just wish I started it earlier in the drafting season.
My big screw up was taking Boyd thinking I could get McMillan on the turn. Not realizing Boyd put me at 8 WRs, and I really don't need more than 8 WRs in this build.
QB - Lamar, Cousins, Minshew
RB - Pollard, BRob, Moss, Mason, Williams, Laube
WR - Reek, Deebo, Adams, Flowers, BTJr, Mooney, Bateman, Boyd
TE - Pitts, Kmet, Otton
That's DK for ya. You probably could've grabbed a RB when you took Purdy, but the Purdy pick makes a lot of sense.
I had run out of QB outs. Purdy completed a good week 17 game stack with Aiyk and Jamo. I like to get a solid vet after I have drafted a rookie QB. I just need one of my dart throws to hit the lineup opposite Breece. If Warren is healthy I should be good to start the season. Hopefully Brooks gets in there sooner than later.
QB's dry up quickly as well. Fields in the 11th?
Do you guys have a cut off for QB and TE that will determine if you stop at 2 or draft 3?
I'll usually stop at 2 if Trevor is my QB2 or Goedert is my TE2 unless someone falls way past ADP.

Yeah Purdy pick is fine.
Fields goes early sometimes and other times he goes in 15th or later.

So that's how I got McMillan.
You got my Bateman.
Why did you draft Minshew? Are you concerned about Cousins coming off injury?
You are thin at RB after Moss.
I'm not a fan of Kmet and Otten but you got Pitts.
You have a few monster spike guys so this team should be good.

Minshew - I have Adams, and he has some rushing upside.
Cousins - Some concern, but an easy click for me once I already have Pitts and the w17 correlation with Brob.
RBs - My goal is to get 2 or 3 guys that should start, and let the dice fall where they may after that.
TEs - Kmet gets no love. I get that he has more competition for targets this year, but he's also one of the only TEs at his price with multiple TD upside. I keep hearing Otton will be more involved.

If I get an elite QB or TE I hope to only get one other at the position. I try not to wait too late to get my second because I still want a good enough player to be able to hit my lineup those times my elite has a down game. I used to just wait until the last round but sometimes I would get stuck with complete junk.
If My TE's are middling I'll just plan on going with 3. The same with QB's.
If I have a luxury pick I may add on a Fields or an upside guy like Theo Johnson or Dulcich.

I didn't see Adams so that makes sense.
I suppose in a big tournament your RB plan makes sense. Hopefully your starters produce and stay healthy. Hopefully one of your backups outproduces their ADP
Kmet is a good player. It's scary how Waldron deployed his TE's in Seattle. It's hard to see where the targets will come from. He does have spike week upside. Otten is young so maybe he will improve.

Think this team woulda been better swapping out Bateman whose literally useless for isiah likely the more than likely excuse the pun 3rd target on the ravens
Coulda had likely and McMillan
