Lamb contract feels about right....not much to ROFL at?

Bigger picture...as with all Dallas contracts, is that they should have got it done last year and they would have saved money, like the Iggles do. Can be risky but macro level, locking up your core at the earliest opportunity is generally the right move

Lamb contract is on par with what the next guy up was gonna get but doesn’t make it a smart deal on any level. I can’t rationalize giving a WR this much money. Especially not lamb. He’s good but he certainly isn’t gamebreaking enough for $100 mil gtd. It’s why I sincerely hope aiyuk is dealt

Seems like a sign Dak is gone. Which accidentally might be the smartest move jerruh has made. When your team is composed of fraudulence giving Dak and lamb all of your money and letting parsons leave is basically saying you don’t care about anything

seems like a ton of $ for a WR but where else do you put it?

like 150 guys matter in the modern nfl now and elite WRs matter a lot

roster building largely seems solved and highly homogenous now

Roster building is broken as ****

In order the positions you give all the money to if you have to:

1. QB
2. LT
3. DT

WR is becoming a massive inefficiency only a fool would pay for, and like RB will only make sense to give money to if you have a rookie deal qb1

DT? do you mean DE/edge?

those are the defensive players making the most impact now and getting the big paydays

Dallas fans are fortunate to have the GOAT general manager running the team.

Here's Jones's profane explanation that was published in the new city-specific website DLLS:

“I’ve done it all. So I have an ordinate amount of confidence that f---, if anybody can figure out how to get this s--- done, I can figure out how to get it done,” Jones said. “I’ve been there every which way from Sunday, and have I busted my ass a bunch, a bunch. And there’s nobody living that’s out cutting and shooting that can’t give you a bunch of times they busted their ass. So hell no, there’s nobody that could f------ come in here and do all the contracts … and be a GM any better than I can."

“The reason I don’t let somebody else be the GM is because I don’t have anybody that I will let do it to actually do it right. And they’re gonna have to come to me and because I know where it is that you’re going to pay for it.”

I’m glad to see this. Sounds like his 5-13 postseason record since 1995 and his 0-0 record in championship games since 1995 should be turning around soon.

I’m also on the side of WR contracts are too high, particularly with the glut of more pro ready talents coming into the NFL every year but teams keep paying for them.

In particular there are teams paying two WRs premium $$ like Iggles, Fins, Bears. Two of whom are now also paying at the top of the market for QBs, albeit the main $$ won’t kick in on the QB contracts immediately.

Chiefs are the elite team who are Zagging right now. Sample size still small so we’ll see. Bills also now spending way less on WR…or they will once they clear the Diggs dead cap. Packers also, but for a different reason

I get that he is at a presser and so to some degree has to answer the questions he's asked, but Tua needs to stop talking about Flores now to avoid coming across as a whiny little bitch

Chiefs in great shape with presumably their top 2 guys both on rookie contracts.

Rice shouldn’t be seeking an extension until the 2026 off-season, pending legal troubles.

Worthy until the 2028 off-season, maybe 2027, if he’s insanely good.

Will be interesting to see how they handle Pacheco. I’m guessing he’ll be seeking an extension heading into next season.

NFL cuts today that were a bit surprising ??

Panthers Terrace Marshall Jr. for one.

Lots and lots of QB cuts today.

Na, Terrace spent 3 seasons being a terrible NFL WR.

Sando QB tiers research is out. Feels broadly right...certainly in terms of order, albeit I'd have Lamar ahead of Burrow at the top.

My tiers would be a bit different

I feel like Mahomes should be in his own tier

Allen, Jackson and Burrow in a next tier

then Stafford Herbert, Stroud

then a big tier with

Rodgers
Prescott
Burdy
Goff
Cousins
Hurts
Love

I remember the first time I saw the username ItsRainingMen.

It was a simpler time.
Perhaps a better time.

I dont' have a sub so my only question is where does he have Tua in relation to Rodgers?

QB tiers off the top of my head that I’m sure I’ll be called out for

God

1. Mahomes

Arms are just too short to box with God

2. Lamar
3. Jawsh
4. Burrow

Can win a Super Bowl but hard to tell if it’s the chicken or the egg

5. Bork
6. Sherbert
7. Stroud
8. Tua
9. Hurts
10. Stafford

Hard to tell in general cuz too little data or they already failed

11. Love
12. Goff
13. Throw Rogan

Rookies

14. Caleb
15. Maye
16. Daniels
17. Old ****

Cousins

18. Cousins

Overpaid busts who have no chance

19. Dak
20. Kyler
21. Lawrence
22. Russ
23. Geno
24. Baker
25. Carr
26. Watson
27. Jones

Obviously you are deeply unserious

28. Darnold
29. Mayonnaise
30. Sorry heels
31. Whoever I forgot out of 32 qbs
32. Minshew

I dont' have a sub so my only question is where does he have Tua in relation to Rodgers?

It’s not him - it’s 50 GMs/assistant GMs Head Coaches and Co-Ordinators

They have Tua 15th at the top of tier 3. Love is 14 and Trevor is 16

Rodgers is 7th. Behind Herbert and ahead of Stroud

7th? lol

He’s a tough one to mark. His last year in GB wasn’t good and then last season was 4 snaps but the two years before he was MVP

I think they are ranking the reputation because they don’t have enough extra to go on
