English Premier League 2024-25
2024-2025 EPL Preview
Man City have set another record with 115 charges of financial shenanigans and also managed to win
Lol. If that's the standard for delaying a restart, I'll enjoy the seeing you post every time it am is technically delayed. Aka attacker/defender picks up ball after a call, etc. its a joke call that's was never meant to be taken quickly from that spot
How has he not gone down there?
exciting half this

He delayed a restart. Thatβs all there is to it. That people get away with that **** all the time counts for nothing. He knows the rules, he knew what he was doing, he was probably unfortunate to be punished given that nobody ever is but that doesnβt make it wrong. If you donβt like it, donβt do it, if nobody ever did then the game would be better for it.

It should be, though most people don't actually kick the ball away they just stand in the way of the ball. There was a time a couple decades ago that they started punishing that too, if I recall correctly there was a period were they tested moving a free kick ten yards forward if a defender got in the way (like they do in rugby).
Sorry your player got a yellow card for a yellow card offense mate.
It's in law 12 btw.

Referees must caution players who delay the restart of play by:
.
.
.
kicking or carrying the ball away, or provoking a confrontation by deliberately touching the ball after the referee has stopped play
Sure, it's a yellow by the letter of the law. Then you have to give at least a yellow the Brighton 'kick' by the letter of the law. This type of delay is basically only given after the ball of placed, you hold it for a wrestling match, or blast it away.

I think that Veltman going unpunished was a big let off. However it doesnβt make the Rice yellow wrong. Funny how everyone wants to blame the ref but nobody wants to blame Rice for getting a blatant yellow and then exposing himself.
Anyway, Iβm glad weβve established it was correct for him to go off.
In before the claims change to "all we want is consistency" lmao
hang your head Mr. Rice
you cost your side 2 critical pts today w your selfish conduct
I’m turning off now as I don’t want to raise my blood pressure listening to the nauseating prick in his quarter zip.
Iβm obviously glad to see any of the slowing up of the game/tactical foul nonsense that City and Arsenal are so good at punished, but we are missing the bigger point here, which is how the **** if Odegaardβs student chinny beard allowed to go unpunished?
Oh yea Im sure Rodri will get the same treatment....after his 15th such play (it will be his first yellow in the 90th minute)
Lovely. The "it's rigged against Arsenal" claims are coming in early this year!
Moment of silence for our season.
Was fun while it lasted.
Can you kindly **** off. This will never happen again this season. Im sure of it
Im glad they couldn't cheat away more than 2 points. Well played from the lads.
I reckon someone else will get a yellow for kicking the ball away between now and May.
Do you really not apportion any blame to Rice for getting booked and then committing another offence where he can easily be booked?
Hoping a cop pulls you over for every traffic offense for the next week. 😀
It's the law after all. NBC actually talking sense.
The problem isnβt that Rice got a yellow. The problem is that in that situation yellows arenβt handed out enough.
Great 2 chances even with a man down (unjustified ofc).
Havertz prolly should go down and then its 10v10 (justified here).
If he scores maybe Im saying a different thing.
Shocked he didn’t go down when challenged. Probably picked himself in his fantasy team and wanted two goals plus the bonus points.

Ofc he is an idiot. He probably thought he is England's darling and is immune to such shenanigans.
Alert me when its a 2nd yellow for that thing.
