Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

fyi i think you're case was fine and you handled it very well where you weren't a karen announcing to everyone that you must disembark and they shall yield but also making it clear by saying it loud enough to your family

i have ptsd from spending so much time in asia where everyone jumps up the second the plane lands to secure their stuff and then i just sit there while they stand for another 15 minutes

also never understood the people who wait in line to board the plane either - you have an assigned seat, whether you are first or last on the plane, it's still taking off at the same time

Every week we learn more about the Nomad’s travel prowess, tune in next week to learn why you should eat salad slurry and 5lbs of cereal before an international flight to help reduce jet lag!

The best part is Diesel outing “row runners” for rarely even having a connection they are rushing to make. These people are mostly diesel types that are just freaked out from being in a confined space too long.

Frontier doesn't allow carry on without extra fees so we know ELD must have traveled light probably with only a Winco bag and his fanny pack.

It's no surprise that Nomad has such boorish behaviour when he flies. His arrogance is to the point that he probably thinks he should be flying up in first class, if only the professors had followed the rubric!

I'll bet he's that one passenger who always has to recline his seat all the way back even on super short hops like LAS - LAX (even when his legs are so short that his feet barely make it to the floor)

by angle_shooter k

Nomad has nothing but time. He will gladly spend a whole day travelling back and forth between states as long as it's cheap ($22 each flight)

His last two trips he has played a grand total of 2hrs poker, both in Arizona and in San Diego. That he still classifies himself as a professional poker player is beyond laughable at this point.

Oh and yes he confirmed in today's video that he is one of those douches who tries to push his way to the front of the plane as soon as the seatbelt signs get switch

That confirms one thing I was pretty sure of - there are people in this world that actively try to be a PITA to everyone else. The reason is still a mystery that I have no interest in knowing.

the more and more I see people like TBC the more I'm convinced that short stacking and then hit and running is actually a very good strategy.

You just have to not care at all about other people despising you which I think takes a certain level of autism to truly not care.

TBC isprobably a top 2% live 1/3 player in terms of pure hourly, which is an insane thing to think about, but he is doing something very right when it comes to playing poker.

When is he launching his training site?

There was a guy that shortacked in my old local room. Min buy-was $60 iirc. Max was $200 (this was over 5 years ago). He would min-buy, do the usual shove any decent flop thing, and when he got much over $200, would get a table change(they would only let you bring max buy-in). He would try to put $60 on the new table if he could get away with it. Regardless, he would rathole some amount of money. Everyone knew him, so he got looked up a fair amount of the time.

He who waits to board better not have a carry-on, as bin space will be full.

Only reason i can think for this is when you have carry on luggage only and want to make sure you get overhead storage. Sometimes if you are one of the last on they put your bag with the checked in ones underneath then you have to wait at luggage carrousel at your destination

i mean, i've probably flown more than most of the thread combined - very little of it was domestically though so that's where the disconnect probably comes from

but i always stay seated until i can just walk onto the plane (or if they are boarding in groups then i get up as my group is finishing up) and I can count with penis the amount of the times there wasn't overhead bin space at all and can count with a single hand how many times the bin over me was full but i just put it in an adjacent bin

perhaps it's different in USA#1? i wouldn't be surprised, but this is not a thing you ever need to worry about flying internationally or abroad

You have some skills sir.

It's been the trend in the U.S. starting maybe 15 years ago that almost no one packs a full sized suitcase for checked baggage, after passengers realized they could game the system if they could cram everything they need into a pack that's the largest possible allowed size for a carry-on. No more checked bag fees or waiting 40 minutes at a carousel, and if you have some wheels on that sucker you have hit an American tri-fecta of savings, convenience, and laziness. And people packing this way does save the airline $$ too: in paying baggage handlers and agents and lost bags. So it's kind of a win/win.

The only issue is older plane interiors weren't really designed for every single passenger to bring a max-sized carry-on with them. I feel like I don't see the stewards playing a big game of reverse-jenga every flight the way I used to, and I thus surmise it's gotten better over the years as planes get retired or re-dressed.

I myself still pack just a personal under-the-seat sized bag and I check-in a suitcase that was manufactured circa 1985, but I'm really a dying breed. I kinda like standing by the carousel after sitting for hours. And my luggage only disappears like 20% of the time tops, and so far they've always found it eventually. No gamble, no future!

That's not the reason for me. People can't steal anything out of it when it's in my possession, and it won't get sent off to Mississippi when it's 3 feet over my head.

Everything would be fine if everyone obeyed the rules. Airlines used to have a box at the gate - if your bag didn't fit, it got checked. They seldom enforced that, now they never enforce it. People drag giant roller bags onto the plane that are so big they can hardly lift them. All my crap is according to the rules.

Just flew transatlantic. On my domestic leg to Chicago, I was the last person to board the plane. Gate agent changed my seat as I was boarding so I had an empty row all to myself. Carry on bag went in the overhead bin.

Transatlantic flight had one empty seat. The middle seat between me and another passenger. Sometimes you luck out. Among the last to board, Carry on bag went in the overhead bin above me.

European leg flight was completely full. All larger Carry on bags were preemptively gate checked. Last to board, my carry on went into the overhead bin above me.

Screw standing in line, either getting on or getting off a plane. My checked luggage was dumped off at the curb in the US, and I picked it up at my final destination. Screw dragging large bags through multiple airports, too.

They used to make people collect their luggage at the first landing in the USA to go through USA customs with the bag to make sure you did not bring anything in such as drugs. Then you had to recheck it if you wanted to connect to another destination. The only exception was landing in Canada from Europe to then take a domestic USA flight from Canada which would allow the bag to go without being searched by USA Customs.

Super short guys like him love to recline on planes.

I try and board as close to last as possible unless I'm in first class. I really don't see the point in rushing to be crammed on a plane instead of sitting at the gate with way more leg room.

Not the case for flying into the European Union, but they still do this flying into the US. Most airlines gather and recheck your bags right outside customs.

I think he said he was doing it as another one of his challenges after his fans voted for it.

Imagine being a Vegas poker pro for 10 years and have to do a special challenge to shot-take 2/5 LOL.

They still have the boxes here in the UK, with budget airlines particularly vigilant on checking carry-on bags.

You're right that so many people now on Transatlantic flights are clearly taking the piss - recently saw a couple get on late in the boarding process with 4 or 5 big bags strapped to themselves, along with two kids, and proceed to cause chaos trying to find space.

p

I live in SE Asia and on SQ flights, Scoot, Air Asia etc this happens all the time but it will vary from place to place

When I start an airline, it will be all bags checked.

when i start an airline we'll board last row first and go from there and all babies will be banned.

And get rid of the old women and dudes flight attendants and bring back the hot ones.

The hot girls can make more on onlyfans and sugar baby sites so they will have to shut down those sites in order to get them back into the regular workforce.

i like where this is going, we can hire coach diesel as our spokesman and pay him with the bread rolls left unopened on the meal trays of our customers

the entire marketing campaign is "people like me are not welcome on the flight"

was this person one of us?

The 18 hours of shot taking Rice took at $2/5 made him a know it all at that stake, and he doesn't need to play it again for a long time.
