i'm a broken record on this point but trump has systematically outperformed polls:
clinton had 6pt polling lead in MI heading into election and lost; biden had 8pt MI polling lead and only won by 3%; harris currently has 2pt polling lead in MI
clinton had slight polling lead in NC heading into election and lost by 4%; biden had 2pt NC lead and lost by 1%; harris currently trailing in NC polls
predictit is very simple and easy, you can get a max of 850 on each position but there's a lot of parallel markets to get around that
things like who will be next president and will next president be a woman are the same thing for example but allow you to get down more
so in theory if you want kamala you can get $850 of shares in yes and then another $850 on trump no for each market
and if you're getting some longshots then it can pay out a nice multiple
other option is offshore bookmakers (can't bet on that stuff on legals in usa other than predictit which uses an "aiding academic research" loophole) or get some crypto and go to polymarket

as someone who's studied a bit of geology where you are studying rocks that were the floor of an ancient sea once that are now at the peak of the rockies, i must say that a lot of the climate change science (as it is relayed to and digested by the general public) is predicated on a false assumption that the climate doesn't change naturally - this is usually shot down with strawmen of "that takes millions of years" whereas it's quite clear looking at geologic records and glacial cores that we indeed have had periods of rapid change which occurred naturally within the span of a few decades
this is not to say that there isn't overwhelming evidence we're speeding up the process with greenhouse gases
also, climate change that forces adaptation will inevitably be very bad for all of us and we should take any possible measures possible to counteract or at least slow down the rate of change
but simple things like glaciers melting or it's 2 degrees warmer than it was 100 years ago are not inherently against the natural order of things and to which extent we are directly influencing it is not clear at all
again, i'm a staunch environmentalist and do wish to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, but one must also ground that with the understanding is that the climate is always changing regardless of what we do

i'm not bothered enough to check that, nor would care about the result if you did check it (i also wouldn't bother the search function is terrible unless it was recent) but it would surprise me because you can't have any expectations of doing well in those kinds of markets if you bring with you any certainty and aren't open to just go with whatever is good value
