2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Yeah, no way they stick with Willis.
Sounds like they’ve ruled out an ankle injury and will be doing an MRI on his knee. That’s not good.
And sounds like Russ’s workout didn’t go well this morning and it’s Fields this week. This dude injured his calf in the first practice pushing the sled, so the fact it’s still lingering like this is a bad sign for him.
As far as your decision above, might as well RNG it lol. I’m guessing median projections will say stick with Zay, but no telling how this week will go.
ACL appears to be intact per reports, which is good. Still more tests to do, however.
Mcl sprain for Love . Not season ending though .
In one of the Yahoo public leagues I'm in someone dropped Kyler to pick up Stafford. I have Mahomes as QB. If I had to, what do you guys think of me trading Mahomes for Kyler?
I know Kyler's value could change depending on how his first game goes. It could potentially boom. But after Mahomes game 1, it feels like it could be another 2023 Mahomes season, where the Chiefs are winning games, have a solid defense, and don't need Mahomes to go for 350 and 3 TDs every game. It feels like his pre-season value was based on speculation that he would get back to his earlier career stats.

Are you thinking of dropping Mahomes ?

I think the Ravens only allowed like one QB to score 20 fpts on them last year.

Fortune favors the bold but I think this move leaves too much value on waivers. Even if you think Mahomes is due for a down year he still has plenty of name value - nobody else you can drop that would give to you time work a trade?
This is fps at its finest. You can just drop whatever upside rb you have if you want Kyler, but I’d just keep riding out Mahomes
Definitely sticking with Mahomes. I think game 1 was quite buillish for Mahomes's season outlook and potential to be QB 1 overall.

100%. Brown will be back and the jet sweep isn't going to be a regular occurrence lol. Also Perinie is gonna eat into Pacheco's work (lol just trying stir up trouble). Congrats if you faced Patrick the Great week 1.
Yup, that offense should just keep getting better. And they only ran 50 plays. The last two seasons they've been at 64 plays per game. They only ran it 20x on those 50 plays, while leading most of the game.
I wouldn't drop Mahomes for Kyler. I think I have the #5 waiver so I don't think I'd get him unless the entire league is asleep at the wheel. I'd drop a bench RB or WR to pick up Kyler.
If someone else were to grab Kyler, at that point is when I'd contemplate trading Mahomes.
Did some deep scouting last night. My nephew goes to Mater Dei HS who is #1 in the country playing #2 Bishop Gorman out of Vegas. Pretty much every starter has D1 offers. Looks like Mater Dei's #1 WR, who has already committed to Ohio St, did his ACL in on a non contact play. Recent transfer from Ohio, Chris Henry Jr. I think a lot of people here will remember his dad.
Mater Dei ended up curb stomping them, their D-line just isn't fair.
Chase likely to play after all, but I say Gonzalez shuts him down. If only Maye were playing...
Only playing 4 lineups on FD today. 100% on Waddle, Godwin, and SEA D/ST.
With Tee likely not playing (and Chase taking zero snaps or being limited today bc of a lack of real reps w JOE all preseason), Gesicki is a dude you want to pickup off waivers and start at TE (if you don't have a top six TE already going this week).
I think Gesicki's line will look something like this: 8/111/1
Cash game dfs question:
Have a 2v2 that Im struggling with right now on DK
Arich + Panthers
Or
Jayden + Chargers
Leaning towards Jayden + chargers but it feels wrong to let dst dictate a decision

I understand why you like Gesicki today, but are you seriously considering playing him over Kittle, Engram, Njoku, Ferguson? Bc that’s what you’re implying by saying anyone outside the top 6.
If that’s what you’re saying, I would very highly recommend not doing that

i'm starting him over Kincaid in my only money FFL
Haha good luck
Football gods, please don’t let Fields look like complete ass this week. Kthx
I'm in 56 thousandth place in the millie so this could be a big day.
