2024 NFL Game Thread - Week 1
Welcome back for another NFL season!!
First a recap of last season
But.....
Spoiler
Thursday
Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City
Baker really havin a good day, if last year was no fluke, Browns gave up too early. Browns fans... oops, but hey... you know, something
J. Daniels needs to get that helmet situation figured out
why is Parsons still on the field?
lol Watson's out there giving 0 shits
Very good chance watson is the worst contract in nfl history
Brady is murdering my ears, monatone babble
$375m for an announcer who is legit bottom 5 percentile in his field
more "yeah"s than brendan dassey
free brendan and give him tom's contract
This Rescue Hi Surf show looks nothing like Baywatch
solid 7 minute 15 play drive by CLE there
Not sure how many people would have had the Jets being the lone 0-1 team in the AFCE after Week 1
What is the competition at this point?
The Daniel Jones contract is awful, but at least it was "only" $81 million fully guaranteed, and Jones isn't a sexual predator. They can easily get out of it after this year.
Giving Daniel βcheck out my neckβ Jones a contract instead of paying Saquon is the utmost proof the Giants are an incredibly poor run organization.
Finally the premier football team is on
Dan probably had Applebee’s and coffee pregame.
Wasn't looking at the thread, but the only real takeaway from this week is that those Giants jerseys need to be thrown into an incinerator and we all need to be Men in Blacked to forgot it happened.
Spoiler
This is Josh Allen’s 4th career game with multiple passing TDs and rushing TDs, tying Steve Young for the most in NFL history.
Spoiler
In his first game of his seventh season, Josh Allen is now tied for the second-most TDs in a player's first seven seasons:
Patrick Mahomes - 231
2t. Josh Allen - 225
2t. Dan Marino - 225
2t. Peyton Manning - 225
Spoiler
Josh Allen is now 10 rushing touchdowns behind HOF RB Thurman Thomas for the most in Bills history.
Poor Megatron. We were robbed of the 2nd half of an all-time career because DET stays DET
Quite the 1st drive by McVay & Staffy. Can only go up from here.
I've gotten excited about the Lions the past couple of years, and then I remember ...
Goff.
Lions also in 4-2-5 cover 4/8. That's wild. So many teams rolling this out week one. No way it stays long term as you just attack the 2 inside backers with slots and levels. But it's interesting to see.

TBD I suppose
A ton of qb contracts have the potential to unseat this one but ya for now watson is #1 with a bullet
