Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

Agreed. I have a pretty tight baseline of play in NL games myself, but i cant imagine being such a rock/supernit that being stuck 160 bucks seems like a mountain to overcome in any game. Unreal stuff.
I dont care if most people that come to Vegas dont play a 1000 hours or more:its still not proof of a players true winrate if he plays a stinth of 300 hours.
Like i dont doubt that he is a good player or trying to attack his game or anything like that, its just not that relevant regarding the winrates debate we had going on.
you poo-poo'd a guy who just said he doesn't have poker where he lives so when he comes to Vegas he averages 58 weekly hours of poker across 6 weeks with a good win rate, and you then bemoaned that all the games in Vegas suck.

But that's the thing. He says he hates sitting in silent games. He hates no action, small pots games. But he does nothing to cultivate it. He just wants to leech off already established good games.
You want talkative games? Talk but talk about general stuff not stuff that only interests you like baseball or song trivia. He could say hi to everyone when he sits. He could say hi to every new player that sits down. Bring up topics most people at the tables enjoy like sports and sports bettin

Exactly. Every shitreg out there wants to just come to a full table with 3-4 megafish throwing free money around to the nutpeddlers while they wear headphones or watching netflix on their XXXL smartphone.
As soon as they sit in any game where there isnt tons of free money being donated, they are absolutely completely clueless and wont lift one finger to try make the game better or give up an ounce of EV in the moment.
But yeah, what you are describing is just legendary. The people that are a big part of the problems themself cry about bad nitty games with no action, cry me a river good god.

Like the whole opening today. We are supposed to laugh at him pretending he doesn't know there is a camera there. He is standing in the middle of a parking lot at least 300 yards from the casino talking to no one and smoking his cigar? Which, by the way, is more proof he is a 35 year old OLD MAN. I would say that nothing makes a poker game a more enjoyable experience than good table talk. 99/100 I would rather sit at a friendly social table even if it's nitty than a spewy but quiet/miserable game. I love chatting with the people next to me. not to show them how smart or clever I am but just to have a good social experience for each of us. this is so critical especially in Vegas low-level games where most people are strangers. that is mostly why I hate playing tournaments, they are miserable experiences because everyone is uptight, stressed and quiet.

I checked online and see Airbnb has great deals on Council Bluffs there is a $20 per night room which right now beats the sky high $100 plus weekday rates in Vegas.

Please, that isnt close to a solid samplesize of volume. Sure, you may be good enough to beat the Wynn 1/3 for like 10 BB pr hour but you also may not be good enough, but a random 350 hour stinth isnt gonna give us conformation of this though.
You may have been on a heater on this stretch making your winrate unsustainable over a larger sample.
I agree with this. Nothing wrong with sharing personal experiences, and I think 18000rpm would do well in the games over a larger sample size, but 348 hours is such a small amount. For some tourists it’s mostly weekend hours too.
To show how little 348 hours can tell us, Trooper won $19 an hour in his first 500 hours in Vegas. We all know that wasn’t even close to his actual winrate.
He was so confident that he was telling his audience he expected to make more than that, maybe up to $25 an hour. And at that point he was experiencing a breakeven stretch for a while. His winrate after 350 hours must have been significantly higher.
The 1-3 at the Wynn plays significantly bigger though so a higher winrate is certainly possible there. It’s interesting that the low stakes vloggers don’t like playing there.
hate to change the subject (not really), but this was worth checking out. I'm not big on the Zen mumbo-jumbo, but I really like the strategy and thought processes throughout the session. legit stuff
