2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
The biggest reason I was off CMC and mentioned it before wasn't just his age/injury history.
It was the fact that out of every single RB over the past 20ish years that led the league in touches the previous year did not do great the next season.
It's just really hard on the body.
How much Mason did you end up with?
I have 0 mason and I dislike it .
Also, PSA to the UD drafters. Be careful with the updated autopilot feature. You'll go autopilot if you let the software time down and pick your highest ranked/queued player 2 picks in a row.
I let my queue pick at 134. By the time I got to 155, I wasn't thinking about it and let my queue pick again. That threw me into autopilot and the 12 spot picked real fast, and I couldn't get out of it fast enough for 158. It wasn't the biggest travesty, but I was planning to go Stafford or Levis inst
Sometimes when you run bad, you run good.
Although, the WRs are toast.
I only ended up with 1% Mason on UD but was above 10% on DK due to the way my slow drafts worked out at the end.
Haha. I wish. I don’t even know which contest that was but probably a Flock or Schnauzer.
But injury situations like this are just another reason I prefer the timeboxed contests throughout the summer way more than BBM or the DK flagship.
Hollywood to IR is a bit of a kick in the dick.
What do we think about Brooks now in light of Carolina's week 1?
Seems like his upside this year took a big hit after watching the Panthers’s offense w1. Maybe they’ll figure some things out by the time he’s off the PUP.
CMC is just unfortunate football stuff.
I only ended up doing 29 contests on UD. I have 1 share of Mason in a FLOCK draft. Might end up making a few deneros?
TEs are Mcbride (ARI) and Ertz (WAS)

I quickly realized this as well. I did 8 BBM's with the idea of doing at least 75 and maybe even maxing it out. Then I learned the ridiculous odds just to make it to the finals. I love the time box tournaments. You don't have to compete with those who got Rice in the 10th round. You aren't essentially dead against those who have Mason in your league. At first I thought I was screwed but it looks like I'm not in many tournaments where Mason was drafted. You also don't have to worry so much about your exposures to players.
Is Jaylen wright droppable? Seems like he’s just taking up a bench spot at this point and so many things need to happen for him to have value. Even with mostert out and Wilson leaving mid game, he barely saw the field. And both mostert and Wilson’s injuries are short term. Whole offense will take a hit with tua out as well
Not nearly as good as I did when I drafted 12% of him. I truly thought with better coaching and more talent around him Bryce would have a bounce back year. Unfortunately, he's still very short and petite. It's still possible that this team gets it going by the time Brooks is ready to go. Maybe Brooks is good enough to overcome the bad team. Why would I draft an injured player on a bad team? I get maybe 6% but 12%. I again blindly followed the 'geniuses" on YouTube who couldn't get enough of him.

I drafted a lot of Wright in best ball with the thought that hopefully he could be a thing later in the year. I was confident that Mostert and Achane would miss games throughout the year. In redraft if you have an opportunity to pick up a player that can help you then drop him. If you can be patient he still could break out but now the upside is capped with Tua gone. Even if you do drop him no one will be rushing out to get him so you could go after him again if things start looking up.

You have nice QB's and your RB's are disgustingly good. Your WR's aren't great. You will need Mcbride to stay healthy. Don't worry, you have the league winner Mason on your team. You're gonna be a very rich man.
should I trade DeAndre Hopkins for chase brown?
I have a deep WR bench, and a shallow RB bench. both players are/would be bench players for me
McCaffrey officially to ir .
Glad I spent 40% faab on mason this week
