NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA
Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!
A lot happened while you were away:
Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC
The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory:
Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G
Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12
Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC
Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship
The conferences are huge now, and the schedules are wildly imbalanced. Florida might have the hardest schedule in the history of the sport, while Missouri's playing a sun-belt slate.
FSU and Clemson play each other, but then play ZERO common ACC opponents
Utah/Baylor and Arizona/Kansas State play non-conference games against conference opponents
LSU and USC play in Vegas!
Boise goes to Oregon, a team they've never lost to!
Texas at Michigan!
Alabama at Wisconsin!
Notre Dame at ATM!
Clemson vs Georgia!
And there are some incredibly juicy new conference matchups:
Texas @ ATM is back!
Texas vs Georgia
Oregon vs Ohio State
USC @ Michigan
USC vs Penn State
And then the bizarre:
UCLA @ Rutgers is now a conference game
Syracuse plays home and away against Cal and Stanford for some reason
Half the teams have new coaches, transferred quarterbacks, or both!
Let's get it on!
man it's just so brutal when you're in a low scoring game, you pop a 51 yard TD after a fake punt and then they call it back for holding and show the replay and everybody is like uh... not holding, gg
just a gigantic probability that that ends up being the difference between winning and losing
and then they block the punt and return it for a TD
so, ref makes a bad call and now we're down 7 instead of up 7
Big XII should not have an autobid
what a terrible "targeting" call against FLA
Mertz and the Gators not lighting up the scoreboard
at the half
0 pts
3 first downs
73 total yds
UF and FSU should combine programs in order to field a competitive team
THERE's the Jackson Arnold I know! Pick 6, baby!
I dont understand that call. Wtf. Are they not allowed to block the QB after an int?!?!
I feel like the QB should have to do something (akin to a slide) signal that they should be protected. Stand still, take a knee, whatever
As soon as he starts running after the defensive back, even halfheartedly, he's playing football
afaik you still aren't able to block in the back in cfb
big call incoming at the Apple Cup...
Catch of the year in the backyard brawl. Holy ****
Hot damn this game is nuts
Fun Fact; Ole Miss has a lineman in for 3rd and 1. Gets the ball and (despite totally not needing to) he dives over the top and I must say at an impressive height. muffed snap TO on the next play though, so he may as well have been dropped for a loss.
big tatted up Wazzu dude on the sideline keeping the tensions down somehow
Pitt fans loving this 'bend don't break' WVU D
wtf is wvu doing
should be obvious the crap apple cup just hits different
that Pitt UNLV playoff game is going to be off the chain
we're going to need a GB proof of life post itt
fun one on ESPNU in App St v ECU

Kid is the Chucky Mullins Award Winner for this year. He should get plenty of action on both sides of the ball this year. It was a memorable leap for a guy that size!
He was entitled to wear Mullins #38. I'm not sure why he chose to keep his old number. Apparently only keeps his old number for road games.
And they just gave it to him again on 4th & 1 in their own territory. First down!
