Forced Unlimited Guessing Codenames
It's codenames, and the clueing is normal.
But your team has to keep guessing until they win, hit the assassin, or hit a wrong word.
Sign up below. I think 6 or 8 is probably optimal.
I mean, 95% of the time we just need to dodge a red word and we win since we only need 2x more.
So uh, what seems neutral? lol

Recap of where we are
Nich likes his neutral ending words, so do we think that was just Sink already and there might not be another one?

David - 4
Seems really weird for millionaire to be ours so that's probably out
Some stuff like sling and ruler?
bump
Yea brother may be one of the best remaining options, it stood out to me too
Should we try those 3 to start and see if alive?
Sling
Ruler
Brother
Sling
Ruler
Brother
Okay, that's good.
I think this last one is going to be a reach. Really wish I knew what Turandot was for.
Christmas - Bible connection?
Fog - Don't see it
Iron - Don't see it
Kick - David Beckham, 2 step connection but we could be in 2 step connection territory
Millionaire - Probably some rich Davids
Nerve - Don't see it
Pumpkin - Meh
Santa - Another name?
Sherwood - Was there a David in Robin Hood?
I feel millionaire is out for not being 3 or unlimited or something...idk...maybe it's in but just think that number would be different
I could see the Kick thing, almost too smooth but I could bend it to this
strangely could see it being Nerve, the Sherwood and santa stuff makes sense too though
The kick is my favorite for this but the turnadot would help hmmm...does sound a bit proper namey
Christmas also makes some sense
I think I like Kick the best, but barely.
It's a strong 2-step connection vs. a weak 1-step connection like Santa or Christmas.
Ruler and Brother could have very easily been the other two Turandot words.
I know there's the Star of David, I just wonder if there's any more biblical stuff that would link it to Christmas as I'm not too familiar
But perhaps not, I'll be fine with Kick it not as we can at least make a clear connection there
I know there's the Star of David, I just wonder if there's any more biblical stuff that would link it to Christmas as I'm not too familiar
I don't think so. It's mainly David/Goliath -> Bible -> Jesus -> Christmas
It's really weak, but the 4th option on any must have 4 clue is going to be weak.
I think we just gotta try kick and hope it works.
yeah that's it
good job
Turnadot is the Chinese Princess Opera that IBD used in this thread a few months ago
it's the new Shadowfax that eventually people will remember
so regarding our team:
I clued Jack-o-lantern to hit pumpkin (assassin) hard
I didn't clue Halloween which meant Christmas was safe rather than going Beijing; in unlimited I'm always trying to find ways to give you a safe neutral guess (sink then Christmas)
I also didn't clue spooky, haunted, etc to hit fog+pumpkin
but even if we get fog we still lose if we give them Beijing, so the more important takeaway is the lack of Halloween making Christmas a safe guess and then we win the next turn
other than that one guess, great job; you nailed the water clue; you got my 5 + sink (safe neutral) + chalk (ours but I didn't want to stretch to include it)...I was worried watermark would be missed after round 1, but you got it round 2
ironically, getting watermark actually also hurt us because it opened up David for him; if we don't get mark then he can't clue David and prolly needs another turn; but that's just the luck of the game
