They were much more ready than some first round pick who played 3 quarters in the pre- season as their only NFL experience. Learn the playbook, learn the system, learn what it is to be in the league rather than being an anointed saviour on day one and have no clue whats going on.

Okay, what's Darnold? He wasn't too good until now after being thrown to the wolves early. Says he learned how to play last year as a backup in SF. As a Bears fan I'm not sure about Williams because his line is so bad. But I know for sure he doesn't have the experience or knowledge to deal with playing with a bad OL.

Darnold is basically Smiff but probably a little better i guess
He got run with two of the worst organizations there ever was. He now is playing under a solid offensive coach with arguably the best wr in football at his disposal
