ACR just suspended my account for no reason
Hi everyone - long-time 2p2 lurker here. I'm finally creating an account, but under less-than-ideal circumstances. My ACR account has been suspended for no apparent reason. I can only assume they either think I'm a bot or using real-time assistance. Both of which are blatantly untrue. This was the email from them:
Hello.
Due to numerous discrepancies found during our investigation of your account(s), we unfortunately feel that we are no longer comfortable conducting business with you.
Please be informed that all your Winning Poker Network accounts have been closed, and you are permanently banned from our poker network, effective immediately.
Playing on the Winning Poker Network is a privilege and not a right. We clearly state that we reserve the right to ban an account at any time for any reason in our Terms and Conditions outlined here:

The decision to ban you from the Winning Poker Network is final and can’t be appealed.

I'm not exactly sure what these "discrepancies" are, but I can only assume that its related to my play (which is usually solid but often atrocious). I am not a bot nor am I using any sort of real-time assistance whatsoever. I'm a recreational player who plays on the weekends and after work, so obviously this is quite the surprise. All of my identification documentation is valid and true. I've been able to cash out in the past.
I saw a thread by angelar98 who went through a nearly identical situation and was able to at least cash out. He mentioned he was able to get help from the user "MTT DB Review" in helping resolve his case. Unfortunately my account is too new to send direct messages, so I'm hoping they will read this and assist me with this predicament. If anyone can direct them to this post, that would be extremely helpful. Thanks again!

I’m thinking that this is some kind of hacker attack from the inside to steal funds from players.
Just speculation though.
Thanks, I checked out that thread just now. If anything it's probably a good thing there are so many players being affected by it since it makes it more likely that is some sort of logistical error on their end. I reached out to support asking for some clarification but am still waiting on a reply. Could it be some malicious actor just reporting a bunch of screennames as a troll? That would be pretty below-the-belt. Not sure what to think just yet, only speculating as well so far.

I am now able to successfully log into the ACR client. However, my account appears to have restricted access (no access to games, deposit and withdrawals appear to be restricted). I have not received any explanation whatsoever from WPN so far. I'll post as the situation evolves.
Still no explanation whatsoever from WPN and it's been nearly two days now. Other players are apparently receiving audit requests but I've received absolutely nothing so far. It's all extremely unprofessional. Ill provide updates as they come.

As an update, last night WPN support finally got back to me, requesting documentation and a 10 second selfie video. It seems like they're trying to make sure we're not bots. I've sent them all the information they need so hopefully this gets wrapped up soon. Will keep posting updates here.

Yeah, I had to go through this process in 2022.
The difference is that this time they just banned me out of nowhere first, which is much worse lol.
The other time they sent me an email asking for things first, no ban or suspension iirc.
WPN just unrestricted my account, so thankfully things went well. Needless to say, I'm fairly disappointed in the way they went about this. It's a very hostile approach which is only going to encourage honest players to withdraw from the site. As a business you probably never want to lead in with the "guilty before innocent" approach. They need to have better ways to detect bots/cheaters rather than randomly freezing players out of their platform. Anyways, I'll post here if anything interesting comes up, but it appears as though this debacle is coming to an end. Famous last words.
And as if I thought things were over - it looks like I'm able to play, but unable to withdraw. Another email sent...
I'm able to successfully withdraw. While this is a major relief, I'm pretty upset at how this entire ordeal was carried out.
Leading with "you're permanently banned from our casino" and only asking for evidence later on is a good way to alienate any honest players on the platform. From freezing my account with no warning to misplaced names and emails, they got everything wrong here. The fact that my first instinct was to go in and withdraw a substantial amount of funds from the site says a lot about how flawed this process is.
I have no idea if things are better on other sites, but given this experience there is no way I would keep the amount of money that I did on the site. I simply wouldn't feel comfortable.
I understand that bots and cheaters need to be removed from the site, but there has to be a better way to go about it. I'll be sending an email to WPN support voicing my complaints with this process. I encourage everyone with similar sentiments to do so as well
