Hi RakkiOtoko,
You've received a message from me. It's not spam. I've sent this message to a limited number of 2+2ers since the new version isn't ready yet, but I need some feedback to possibly make a few changes before we offer it to everyone.
Also, you can verify that the URL I've included has twoplustwo's domain name, which is twoplustwo.com. The URL is the best proof that it's not spam.
Perfect ty
it's standard for people to always hate new designs, but this feels 100x way less visually appealing/engaging and i don't see any added features or other benefits of navigation/browsing/posting
it also looks like it's borrowed heavily from quora
Ahem
I have to agree with Rick here. Limon's AMA thread is shockingly unpleasant to look at and difficult to navigate. If this new design/interface is applied site-wide and there's no option to "revert to original view," I will likely stop using this site.
Jeebus, can't we even jump to the last page????
keeps the op stickied - this is very out of touch as it's basically not of use after 1st page anyway, people don't post in a manner to have a stickied op, and takes up valuable real estate
not so bad here, but it's common for people to have a huge op for certain threads, ie the english soccer OP is so big it means over half the page is the op - and this is EVERY SINGLE PAGE
see how far it scrolls down
likewise, the left scroll bar is information overload
can't quote post
but oddly we can scroll between posts of specific users - wholly ignoring the concept of a conversation
that feature will be more used for stalking or finding embarassing posts to link to during arguments than anything useful
hitting reply does not reply
it instead buries your response into someone elses response so it's not a natural scroll through and view experience
i clicked reply to brick's post and instead of posting a response it embedded one in his, hence why his has "1 reply"
in order to see that response it needs to be clicked and then takes over the previous view screen
just really clunky and not at all a smooth nor intuitive flow
posts by op could be a very good feature actually, very good for following a blog and ignoring all the gossip surrounding the blogger
but most liked posts is just lol
ie this is a very good feed just seeing limon's posts only
going by most liked starts off nicely
it actually works because the nature of limon's well means there's a lot of quote responding so we know that the preceding post is that it is in response to
go to a typical thread where people don't quote respond and suddenly it becomes an absolute mess of what are supposedly funny comments but without the surrounding context are just lost
and mind you, because this is an important aspect of it, the new design does not allow for quoting so it's only going to be more random spew like above
also can't multi quote but can't do that either on dark mode anyway and i've been asking for that to be brought back to dark mode for over a year and not expecting that to come back any time soon
The fact that it totally killed limon's thread should tell most of the tale, right there.
From the forum's point of view, that might be a feature, not a bug.
Hey folks,
I've rolled out a few updates:
- Added a collapsible left sidebar
- A quote button that works just like on vBulletin
- A comment button to create child posts that stay out of the main thread flow
- Enabled multi-quoting
- Improved the visual separation between posts
You can see the multi-quoting in action in this gif:
Maybe I missed it but I didn't see private massaging /PMs either? That would be nice.
* messaging. But adding private massages would be great too. 😀
Thanks.

agreed, for now. maybe it will get better but it killed all of the good conversations going on in my thread (where i am banished to)
