NCAA FOOTBALL 2024 MEGA THREAD - WELCOME TO THE PLAYOFF ERA
Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!
A lot happened while you were away:
Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC
The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory:
Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G
Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12
Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC
Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship
The conferences are huge now, and the schedules are wildly imbalanced. Florida might have the hardest schedule in the history of the sport, while Missouri's playing a sun-belt slate.
FSU and Clemson play each other, but then play ZERO common ACC opponents
Utah/Baylor and Arizona/Kansas State play non-conference games against conference opponents
LSU and USC play in Vegas!
Boise goes to Oregon, a team they've never lost to!
Texas at Michigan!
Alabama at Wisconsin!
Notre Dame at ATM!
Clemson vs Georgia!
And there are some incredibly juicy new conference matchups:
Texas @ ATM is back!
Texas vs Georgia
Oregon vs Ohio State
USC @ Michigan
USC vs Penn State
And then the bizarre:
UCLA @ Rutgers is now a conference game
Syracuse plays home and away against Cal and Stanford for some reason
Half the teams have new coaches, transferred quarterbacks, or both!
Let's get it on!
USC doesn't belong in the Big Ten. Should've moved to the Mountain West.
Man I hope so bad Hajj Malik Williams gets a Milly after UNLV crusies to a playoff spot.
Auburn looks competent. What is happening
Bounce House is bouncing
Lol USC. You clearly aren't ready for this
another absolute dime from shedeur
Has one of the Pac 12 4 won a B1G conference game yet or do they all just get beat every time? Feel like I must be forgetting an Oregon win or something.
Nice fake fg Ark
last week: JMU 53 pts at half in Chapel Hill
today: dook zero pts at half in Durham

Travis Hunter so ridiculous
Go Khats!
College football is ****ing incredible man. We aren't even halfway through the day.
ULL tied 38-38 and quickly gets it into FG range and then just runs it 3 times and kicks the FG with 56 seconds left on the clock
like, 1 college kickers, 2 just try to score, your offense is chugging, 3 you left them so much time
It just cannot be decisive with ND's do nothing offense.
UL gets the ball back down 7 2:47 left, already out of TOs.
First two plays were runs up the middle bringing it down to 2:00.
Already playing to make it the last drive? Is there no scenario where they would want the ball twice?
Edit: ran it again on 3rd
And a delay of game on 4th ..
Remind me not to suggest Brohm next coaching search ..
So it's time to have this discussion - Arch Manning is definitely better than Quinn Ewers, right?
and now for the marquee match-up of the day in cfb's premier conference
