IQ (moved subtopic)
^^Hey Luciom, can you remind me again how smart JD Vance is? Above, same, or below the average MAGA chode?
I have no problem with schools using affirmative action to help people like Vance with humble backgrounds.... but maybe not in law school where these idiots start becoming dangerous. And they got to find smarter people then Vance or the whole thing just looks ridiculous and all you're doing is de-valuing your own department.
You mean bottle not books if you want to be in that conversation.
Bro, you're not even in the top 20. You're 3 spots below me, that's basically dunce territory. Maybe if we hit the books, this time next year we can be in the same conversation as chezlaw.
I am mostly pissed off with tame deuce being that low, the rest I don't care much (and I don't recognize like half the nicknames)
I've been dry for 5 months, probably explains how I dropped all the way to 20.
Nah. I don't care. I beat the No. 1 in a prop bet about about court packing. That's good enough for me.

I'll never bother to collect though, and sadly, I am still here in 2024.
TD is top 10 and quite possibly top 5 for sure. That is one of many reasons why it's a joke list.
You would beat him in an IQ test, the math SAT, and probably the LSAT. If you wanted a ranking of "erudition" you should have asked for it. Meanwhile I went to all this trouble to comply with your request and this is the thanks I get?

Entirely not convinced I would beat him in any of those. Well, maybe the math SAT. In any case, I made this request? Ok, sure, we'll go with that. Well, you'll need to hang around to answer some questions about the ranking process and then you will receive your well earned "thank you".
Question 1: Whom did you confuse chezlaw with in your old age? I would drill him on all those tests and so would pretty much everyone else below him.

Haven't seen much of bobman's posting that I recall but I've seen a fair amount of ChrisV's (no. 2) and he's definitely one smart mother****er. Pretty handy at chess too.
Mark me down as another admirer of ChrisV

You are bragging about winning a bet where you were laying 25-1? 137. Does anyone know how to get ahold of clovis and notbruceZ to tell them the good news?
Lol. Gotta admit Sklansky's got a point there.

The brag was obviously a joke.
The bet was mostly for fun, but I doubt I had the worst of it, and I certainly didn't have much the worst of it. Most people who talk about court packing don't appreciate the enormous practical impediments, both political and legal.

For the most part I based my ranking on their knack to write incisive posts explained well that rarely had fallacious thoughts. I added a few points for STEM talent. In a few cases I knocked them down a bit for one or more posts that were very clearly bad or wrong (simplicitis, bored social, you, and, of course, commonwealth). As to chezlaw, I never even thought about how smart he was. I just knew that after I made up the list, I was going to put him four spots above wherever you wound up, to insure the list got some publicity.)

Alright, that explains a couple of things. Have to give you some begrudging admiration for strategic use of chez.
I was going to ask which posts of mine were clearly bad or wrong, but then I realised that I've posted completely shitfaced here so many times that it would probably be easier to ask which ones weren't.
Question 2: How much time did you spend on compiling this list?
